If the intentions are to increase the membership of this board then there needs to be the utmost respect given to new members. These people come to this board often out of desperation not knowing where else to go. Timid to open themselves up to ask a question when they are hurting, desperately seeking help, and then to be belittled and degraded for being in whatever situation they're in. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the responses given wouldn't cause one to go to tears or cause a nervous breakdown. People can be weak under their duress. Please don't delight in anothers hardship by making their lives miserable by ridiculing them.
There should be zero tolerance for unfriendly and distasteful advice.

Sam, I second what Explora said, when I first posted Someone12 came at me like a raging bull, luckily I took no notice of his advice, if I had I wouldn't be here now with my Greencard, but like Explora say's.. some people are easily hurt by nasty remarks, they come to this forum looking for help, and instead they get ridiculed, that is not fair, and it is not proper!

As long as it is within the rules posted by Sam.

In other words codle the criminal? If a person is not then they are probably grown up enough to handle a little inquisition. People are not as weak as you make them out to be Explora. Give humanity a little more credit than that. In some cases they can actually defend themselves, imagine that!
You voted democrat. This country is not worth sneaking into any more.

Firstly, thanks for returning to the board. Since I am returning to the board after a week (shame on me! - but we were swamped last week), I am posting responses on this thread:
I hope you don't mind that this reply is translated at best for *educational* purposes and for those that are Spanish speakers that are learning or improving their ability to read in english.
Please review the duplication of newspaper articles by Beverly from her thread American Exploitation to Illegal Mexican Exploitation. Even if she modifies the article, it's still duplication. This poster needs to show respect of which she's hasn't been inclined to do.
For over one year I've posted and *updated* articles within the thread (IME) and I don't need her to now tell me I'm duplicating my own articles I've previously posted. She has her own thread and it's totally unecessary for her to duplicate articles from it over to other threads. If I wanted to run a few similar articles subquentially, it would be interrupted by articles that she has already posted in her thread. We are not talking about owners of threads, we are talking about how a thread has been running and it's evident when somebody is showing blatant direspect. Let's keep an article posted only once.
I like that bi-lingual post Explora, whether we like it or not, most things these days in the US have both English and Spanish translations. In other countries it might be another language. Like it or not, we need to move with modern times, and I think it helps those who wants to learn English better, know the correct words
I do agree Sam, and I am not trying to take sides. I know sometimes you can duplicate posts accidentally, which I did the other day but deleted it soon afterwards when I realised it was somewhere else. It looks to me that the duplicate postings either in same thread or across the board is being done o
