Dont worry too much! There's a lot of us here that are in the same situation as you do or should I say much worst. Im sure everything will be alright and lets cross our fingers that you will be able to go through your interview.
Since you said your priority date is coming really soon then lets hope for the best.
Congratulations on your baby girl btw!
Goodluck to all of us!
Salamat!

Salamat at mabuhay kayong lahat

Ipinanganak sa Hawaii, Fil-Am parents, raised (destiny) and educated (choice) in the Philippines, Letran, very proud of it, and now based in Las Vegas most of the time. I pledge my allegiance to both nations. I reach out my hands to you mga kababayan, lalo na sa mga naaapi at ginugulangan. Mabuhay tayong lahat!

Angel, try also Reeves & Asso. They have an office there in Makati and they're good too and not as expensive as Gurfinkel. Although, mas may sampalataya ako kay Gurfinkel kahit mas mahal kasi he really works on the cases. He has an image to maintain. I'm also going to use him for my husband's cases who got defrauded by his sponsor. Good luck to you and God bless

I can only speak about my experience -- I graduated with a MD degree in the Philippines, passed the Philippines Medical Licensure Examination, and finished Pediatrics Residency Training in the Philippines. Someone convinced me to take the USMLE -- I took and passed the Steps 1 and 2 (in one take), and TOEFL -- this was in 2001, applied for a tourist visa (was given a ten-years multiple entry visa) so I can take the CSA (now the step 2 CS) in Philadelphia, and passed that too, and was issued an ECFMG certificate. I believe it was with Divine Providence that I was called for a three-month externship in a hospital in Washington, DC -- that was my stepping-stone to getting letters of recommendation from US physicians, and when I applied to the ERAS/Match, I got several interviews -- and got a prematch offer which I accepted. I took the USMLE step 3 in November 2002, got the prematch offer in December 2002 (a week before Christmas), was asked by the Program Director of the hospital which visa I wanted, and I asked for the H1b (working visa). I was told that I needed a lawyer -- so I found myself an immigration lawyer in Washington, DC who processed my visa. I flew back to the Philippines in January 2003 to wait for the approval notice -- got it in March 2003 (premium processing, and since the hospital is non-profit, my H1b visa was not counted against the cap), had the H1b visa stamped in my passport in April 2003. May 2003, bought a one-way air ticket to Texas, looked for an apartment near the hospital where I was going to do my training, got a SSN, opened a bank account, etc. Started my training in July 2003, and graduated from training in June 2006. During my last year of training, I received a lot of offers in remote areas, wherein the employers were willing to sponsor my H1b leading to PERM and green card, and the monetary compensation was really great! However, I decided to choose love over money, and decided to marry my wonderful husband -- in the end, everything fell into place -- I found a job as a Pediatrician near the place where my husband works (and it is in the city, and we are just 30 minutes away from an international airport!) Basically, the steps are: pass the USMLE Steps 1, 2CK, and 2CS to get an ECFMG certificate -- tis would qualify you for a J1 visa, however, if you pass the USMLE Step 3 (in addition to the previously mentioned steps), then you will qualify for an H1b visa -- of course, one would need to apply to programs willing to sponsor the H1b visa.

Reading between the lines of your post, you were interviewed at a certain local USCIS office somewhere.
