I was interviewed in New York on MAY 15TH 2002 for the N-400,and I was Sworn in as a Citizen today 8/27/02.It does take time,I was told they have up to four months to make a decision. You can call the Vermont office, and with your A number, they can tell you the Status. It is hard waiting, but I pray for you,and you will get it.Did you have to submit any other documents since the interview? That can add time.Good-luck.

i called the vermont center and they said that case in in the field office i can go at the office because i finish work at 1pm and they stop taking people at 1pm so my last resort it to submit a inquiry letter to the field office
om 05/14/02 my interview went well and the INS agent told me that she was going to recomend me my guess it that the application as to be reviewed by her superiour or my case is unique anyway i brought all documents my application based on mariage to USC , also i served in the national guard i have been discharged due to health and personnal problem , i brought my paper discharge paper work and showed them to the ins agent who said that my attachement not in doubt
i had a police report in 1999 for misdemninor simple dwi i've got 6 month probation i disclosed this at interview and showed court documents case has been closed as i did my probation and complied with the court order i was told by a lawyer that since simple dui and not jail time was imposed it could not trigger problem (deportation naturalization) i think it might delay my naturalization the INS agent told me that it should be ok but did not promise me anything . i will keep my finger crossed
