Its now on Obama's hand to unite the party.
and of course Dems will surely get a negative comments from the repubs. Same as the repubs will get a worser comments after their convention. ( I would really love to hear that)
BTW Mrs B... that was before Hilary's speech. I think this was what some of her supporters said after.
Yes she did a good job at promoting herself. She also disrepected the vice president role/position with that slip in referring to Michellle obama as his partner and not Joe Biden. She refers to Biden as being at his side (the role that the wife should play, support)
It was always clear that Hillary was running Bill in the white house.. and that she ran the show and that her role as first lady somehow gave her a right to "rule" also. As you can see, she gave more of a shine to michelle obama to act in the same way that she operated. She clearly disrepects and loathes Barack.
"And he will have with him a terrific partner in Michelle Obama. Anyone who saw Michelle's speech last night knows she will be a great first lady for America.
Americans are also fortunate that Joe Biden will be at Barack Obama's side. He is a strong leader and a good man. He understands both the economic stresses here at home and the strategic challenges abroad. He is pragmatic, tough, and wise. And, of course, Joe will be supported by his wonderful wife, Jill. "
Didnt you find this just a little bit backwards and condescending?
Not to mention the 20 promos and pat on the back for herself that followed the "why I ran for president to renew and stand up for" comments. This was not a uniting speech. It was not even trying to be disguised as such.
DENVER - Barack Obama, claiming a prize never held by a black American, swept to the Democratic presidential nomination on Wednesday as thousands of national convention delegates stood and cheered his improbable triumph
Hillary Rodham Clinton asked the convention delegates to make it unanimous "in the spirit of unity, with the goal of victory." And they did, with a roar.
The US military is such a corporation, and one that is privately owned and run.
Where will it be listed if gone public? Is the corporation registered as chapter S or C? AMEX,BSE,CBOT,CBOE,CHX,MS4X,NASDAQ ,NYSE or PHLX? Will they providle convertible options?
The choice is clear. The Republicans will nominate a good man who served our country heroically and suffered terribly in Vietnam. He loves our country every bit as much as we all do. As a senator, he has shown his independence on several issues. But on the two great questions of this election, how to rebuild the American Dream and how to restore America's leadership in the world, he still embraces the extreme philosophy which has defined his party for more than 25 years, a philosophy we never had a real chance to see in action until 2001, when the Republicans finally gained control of both the White House and Congress. Then we saw what would happen to America if the policies they had talked about for decades were implemented.
They took us from record surpluses to an exploding national debt; from over 22 million new jobs down to 5 million; from an increase in working family incomes of $7,500 to a decline of more than $2,000; from almost 8 million Americans moving out of poverty to more than 5 1/2 million falling into poverty — and millions more losing their health insurance.
Now, in spite of all the evidence, their candidate is promising more of the same: More tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans that will swell the deficit, increase inequality, and weaken the economy. More Band-Aids for health care that will enrich insurance companies, impoverish families and increase the number of uninsured. More going it alone in the world, instead of building the shared responsibilities and shared opportunities necessary to advance our security and restore our influence.
They actually want us to reward them for the last eight years by giving them four more. Let's send them a message that will echo from the Rockies all across America: Thanks, but no thanks. In this case, the third time is not the charm.
I've never seen a time when Washington has watched so many people get knocked down without doing anything to help them get back up. Almost every night, I take the train home to Wilmington, sometimes very late. As I look out the window at the homes we pass, I can almost hear what they're talking about at the kitchen table after they put the kids to bed.
Like millions of Americans, they're asking questions as profound as they are ordinary. Questions they never thought they would have to ask:
1)Should mom move in with us now that dad is gone? 2)$50, $60, $70 dollars to fill up the car? 3)Winter's coming. How we gonna pay the heating bills? 4)Another year and no raise? 5)Did you hear the company may be cutting our health care? 6)Now, we owe more on the house than it's worth. How are we going to send the kids to college? 7)How are we gonna be able to retire?
That's the America that George Bush has left us, and that's the future John McCain will give us.
No conservative ever said to eliminate all taxes. Not one. Over taxation does impede business. In short, every word written by Iperson was never spoken by any conservative, ever..
To all, please ignore Ipersons rhetoric above. The U.S. military is by no means a private corp. That is both laughable and dangerously treasonous. I for one am beginning to wonder if perhaps her true motivation isn't more associated with the undermining of this country than electing Obama. Since she can not effect any political outcome, she is not an American citizen, one has to question why the exaggerated interest. Her chosen enemy may not be for the reasons given.

Typical liberal game play. They say on one hand to be fair but are doing all they can to subvert the intended process designed to allow the people the decision of their elected official. Not to worry though. Biden senior will be back in the Senate soon enough. Junior won't be getting the free pass after all.

Hear, hear. No to another 4 years of Bush/McSame
We voted Democrat. They'll be no need to sneak in anymore
What else happened in 2001? To be honest and fair look at the indicators up until that moment in time. Had it not been for 9-11 would the economy have taken the same course?
Did the Republican party have complete control to implement all its desired policies? Has anyone actually looked at the congressional makeup over the past 8 years in totality?
No on both counts. Again, before applauding the messenger, think of what the agenda is.

yesterday at dem convention bidden said obama is the right person for this job because he could have been in wall street but he chose to work for community in chicago, does this "judgement" alone make him to be the president of this country? hmmmmm not long ago he said at least 8 times very firmly and clearly that obama is not ready to be president...hmmmm when all this changed? to keep your party in the white house over what is good for this country?
if obama's candidacy is good for this nation and its people then why he, clintons, and most demorcats were against of his candidacy just a few months ago when they went on record to say clearly?? dont be fool to know what's going on..
clinton also said that obama is so ready to be our president, but during primary in new hempshire he said that "obama's candidacy is lunatic"...
clintion also said that when he was also told to be too young and inexperienced but it didn't work that time and wouldn't work this time either but he and his wife are the ones who said this more than anyone else...they are such a bunch of hypocrite who would do anything to be in the power. now they r speaking for obama to show their party that they did what they could so that hillary could win in next election becauae they know obama is going to lose. typical supporters of obama who do anything for their cause....
You're funny! Why don't you tell us about what is good about Bush Administration????
Tell us something good or convince us, that we don't feel this falling economic in our daily lives due to Bush s hitty Economic policy???
What can your McSAME could offer?????
Imagine this...
Who's President gonna speak for McSame on the Republican Convention ... G. W. BUSH!!
Bush is gonna tell the american people that McSAME is the right person for job. HAH!!! what a joke!!!
mccain is not bush even though he voted most of the time with bush postion. just 4 the record, obama has also voted most of the time with democratic party...at least mccain didnt vote many time along the side of his party. if mccain is said to have same like bush then obama is same like carter...not too popular president and one term president...at least bush is two terms president.
A couple things. One is, there haven't been any further successful attacks on U.S. soil. There have been numerous attempts, some reported, some not.
The economy could have been a lot worse. If you look at other countries that endured terrorism their economy fell far further into the doldrums than ours did. Ours fell, but only slightly. Before being critical, do you know how a recession is defined? Most of the past reports are sensationalist propaganda based more on political motivation than economic forecasts.

Back to you Olala and Brit. Clearly show a policy that was failed. Give some details with facts and figures to back it up. Let see some hard evidence. Not an x-files episode where you are listening to conversations in people's homes from a seat on a train.

Obama was not even in Senate to vote for or against the war. It is easier said than done. Stating he had opposed the war to begin with. Had he been in Senate, I guarantee you he would have approved the war just like his running mate, Biden.
