Wow. Do you think that will be enough to overcome McCain's lead (hubby's vote )? More or less, when will we know who will be chosen to be the party's representatives?
Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, as long as ever you can.

Thanks Proud. Wasn't very sure on some of my answers as not that familiar with some of the details but, Obama, Hillary and Gravel are mine. Obama being just 1% higher then the other two. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- God Bless America - God Bless Immigrants - God Bless Poor Misguided Souls Too Mr S.U.

Hi Mrs. B.,
No - West Virginia won't mean much for Huckabee in my opinion. I still think McCain will stay ahead. I've very anxious to see what happens with Obama and Clinton, though! (That's the bet between Davdah and I - lol).

So how do you feel PUSC about eating your words in the private PMs last year when you and Houston said Democrats won't come out to vote, that republicans vote in a block, etc. Seems to me republicans weren't much voting lately at all- very poor turnouts. If you read the news, today is a historical day all over the country with record numbers of voting Democrats. So you have said America isn't ready for a woman or black president... Hmmm.. Looks like America I know and love, is plenty ready for a woman or black president, just not republicans (duh!). Seems to me I, an immigrant, know your own country much better than you, the US citizen.

No reason to eat any words just yet, Iperson. The election is in November. If the Democratic nominee wins the Presidency, I will very publically come out on this form and eat my words. I'm actually rooting for Obama and plan to cast my vote for him in the VA primary next Tuesday.

My son told me that in his school, (teachers and children), it seems Hillary is popular with the females and Obama popular with the guys. Known republican teachers are now in support of a Dem. Saying all that, the ones who will be able to vote, will they vote how they feel now or when November arrives. Teachers and children have been wearing t-shirts at school, with 'January 20th is the day our country's biggest mistake will end' LOL quite funny really. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- God Bless America - God Bless Immigrants - God Bless Poor Misguided Souls Too Mr S.U.

Actually it is not. The election is basically today, which may drag the longest to March, because we all know that no Republican is going to win this year's election. And I won't have to eat my words like some people here.

Interesting, Sprint. Well, I'm a female and don't support Hillary - lol! But I am a Republican who is going to cross party lines this time. I'm sick to death of Republican rule. Time for a change.

iperson, first, PM's are called PM's for a reason, they're supposed to be, and remain, "private".
Second, those words about voting trends didn't come from me, I actually heard many respectable people, including RFK Jr. (a huge Hillary supporter) state that as one of the many differences between Democratic and Republican voters.

Exactly! Thanks for pointing that out Houston. There is something to be said for confidentiality. I believe the character of a person can be defined by their ability to know when to keep things private.

PMs, not PM's Houston. Plural is not the possessive case. Boo hoo, it's not like I quoted you or anything. And the PMs are not bound by any terms of use. Besides, you might have said that somewhere else too, not a secret, is it? It's your set of beliefs behind which you stand quite openly. And it's not a secret that people use PMs on this forum. I think the reason you suddenly turn against me is because of the tone of my posts here lately. Like I said, I am not here to agree with anyone, only to state my opinions and present my views.

Davdah, and all Republicans: Whoever wins the Democratic primary elections today wins the elections in November. Unless the situation is not resolved today between Obama and Clinton, which is likely, then it will be by March the 4th when the rest of the states vote. We might as well do away with November elections. It is no brainer. Mark this post because we'll go back to it in November.

The posting(s) on this thread stand as vivid illustrations for the division that American voters are quite tired of. Americans want a change away from the we vs. them mentality. They want this country to unite as Americans, not Democrats vs. Republicans. Why do you think Obama is gaining such support? His message is to unite this country, irregardless of race, creed or political affiliation. The old mentality has expired and now it is time to get down to the business of uniting our country. Stop the discord and let's come together as people who love our country and the people in it.

We all enjoy your posts, iperson, and have no problem with you expressing your views in public.
You're right, making a private message public without consent of those participating in the private thread is not illegal, it's not a violation of the terms of use. Sure enough, but this is not about legal or contractual issues, it's about respect for others and basic decency.
Thank you for understanding.

You're right NHF, but it isn't Democrats who are divisive. Don't remember how viciously they went after Bill Clinton with the Monica Gate? As if 90% of American men don't have extramarital affairs. Well they do, and all American women know it all too well. This country is ruled right now by Neoconservative Facists, let's call things by the name.

IPerson, I must disagree. To say Democrats are not devisive is devisive in and of itself. Americans are sick of pick a side and support your party, hate the opponent, against all reasoning, and hope "our" candidate or member of our party wins because the other party is the enemy. The other party is not the enemy. This mentality will continue to be destructive to our country, which at this time more than ever cannot handle any more back peddling. This also has the flavor of prejudice and stereotyping the PEOPLE who may have voted for the other party as a whole, not giving them the consideration of being individuals who are independent thinkers, not to mention being fair and reasonable. There's nothing wrong with supporting a candidate, but let's not annihilate those who support someone else. This is an insult to those who don't deserve it, and continuing in such a manner will only lead our country in the very wrong direction.

So you mean, let's close our eyes on what's going on because it is inconvenient. Well, the Truth IS Incovenient. Sorry I have to say that, but in order to move on, we need to clear out what is the Truth and what is not, and if that is divisive to you, I am sorry. If Democrats were divisive, they would try to impeach Bush for lying to this country, and not following the Constitution to Declare the War on Iraq, and other lies. I wonder why Clinton was impeached for this little tiny thing and Bush nothing for being responsible for millions of innocent lives. Sure, let's close our eyes because SPEAKING THE TRUTH IS DIVISIVE.
