Not so quick though, lest you’re forgetting that some (or many) of those whom you say ‘should be given the boot’ are also ‘family members of American citizens!’ And I do ‘not’ think trying to deal with, address, or solve this intricate problem ”de jure” is synonymous to ‘rewarding’ these human beings who happen to just be like you and me.

Well first of all Proud asked why should the illegals be giving the boot when there are lazy americans blah blah.. This is the answer.... BECAUSE illegals do not belong so they cannot be compared to americans.

These family members of the illegals you speak of are not waiting in line in another country. You are speaking of these illegals that snuck themselves into the country and had children that were born here to become us citizens Roll Eyes who once they become 21 yrs can petition for their relatives. Line jumpters with a long term motive and agenda.

Go home . get in line behind the respectful law abiding folks. real simple.

let the government use their brainpower and resources to fix the housing and jobs crisis that americans face right now. put illegals on back burner. Let them squirm 4now, NO REWARDS.

You'll be surprised that the folks that you want to GO HOME consider USA as their only home, and the 'line' that they know is here. Real simple? Which one, how you think simply and naively of this very complex matter? Well, think a little more deeply and be respectful of yourself.

The government will soon use its brainpower in earnest. And you, when will you use yours?

Duh... who is not using their brain here. The conversation is about Undocumented border jumpers who are uninspected.

Ohhh, Okkk! Whose brain is unused? For sure not mine. Now it became narrowed down into UNDOCUMENTED BORDER JUMPERS. 'The conversation' isn't in a wide and flat playing field then.

Because for me illegal/undocumented aliens/immigrants (that are used interchangeably due to absence of commonly accepted official definition) are individuals who are in the US illegally or unlawfully, estimated as of 2006 to be between 11.5 and 12 million, categorized as:-

Entered Legally with Inspection
* Non-Immigrant Visa Overstayers (4 to 5.5M)
* Border Crossing Card Violators (250k to 500k)

Entered Illegally without Inspection
* Evaded the Immigration Inspectors and Border Patrol (6 to 7M)

(Perhaps not included in these figures are those who entered as IMMIGRANTS but for one reason or the other failed to comply with some visa requirements).

I will say it again... This time I will be sure to use wording that even you RN can understand.

One more time....

UNDOCUMENTED Go home . get in line behind the respectful law abiding folks. real simple.

It is not complex.

Please see US v. Wong Kim Ark; Kwong Hai Chew v. Colding; Plyler v. Doe; US v. Verdugo-Urquidez; and Rodriquez v. US.

Read carefully what the courts had to say about this very complex issue. Simple, eh? Why is it that it's not happening according to your wish?

The inspected categories that you speak of F-1/F-2 H-4 etc., these are the areas that the government should spend their time and effort in regards to CIR as we all know about the unfairness in regards to legal immigrants plight for family members. But then again, neither you are I were speaking of them in our conversation.

Those who are inspected or entered legally but eventually violated the terms and conditions of their visa or status become unlawful aliens/immigrants and are added to the ranks of illegals or undocumented(s) just like those who crossed the borders. I don't know about you but I subscribe to this general definition.

Now you consider visa overstayers who are in the US illegally and unlawfully (including children) as rightful beneficiaries of government's attention? Hmm... now you're supporting DREAM or CIR Acts as long as the illegal/undocumented aliens were inspected upon entry? What happened?

Why would anybody be surprised at any of these considering USA their home??? You see people who are only here 6 months and claim that this is their home. The border jumpers instantly declare that this is their home now. Going back to their country is out of the question for them in their opinion. This government needs to use its brainpower to enact guidelines that will help these people get over their delusional thinking. Hopefully Brainless Clown #1 or Socialist Clown #2 (whichever one gets elected )will not push to give line jumpers the gold reward.

One thing is sure, beginning next year and the years ahead, the rule of law and reason will prevail. Finally.

[color: blue]RN, Wenever we have this conversation, the topic is always about undocumented and u know this. overstays are illegal , however inspected. They too will have to go home and get in back of the line unless they get married to usc to forgive overstay. The biggest concern and amount are the undocumented.

BTW..that case is not about undocumented illegals that snuck into the country.. so it has no bearing on "GO HOME AND get in the back of the line conversation. Again it is simple not complex.[/color]

The inspected categories that you speak of F-1/F-2 H-4 etc., these are the areas that the government should spend their time and effort in regards to CIR as we all know about the unfairness in regards to legal immigrants plight for family members. know that I do not. You keep dreaming about the dream act. go home and take your children with u like good parents.

Hispanic group to grill McCain, Obama

"Although Hispanic voters have diverse political views and don't share a single monolithic stance on immigration, LULAC Executive Director Brent Wilkes said the vast majority wanted a comprehensive policy that would give legal safeguards and eventual citizenship to undocumented immigrants, most of whom are from Latin America. ''If they're against comprehensive immigration reform, they will not get the Latino vote, and they can't win,'' he said of the two candidates." McClatchy, July 7, 2008.

Yes, A republican't won't sell out the country. Won't negotiate with terrorists. Won't cave in to foreign demands. Won't let the congress run this country into bankruptcy. A republican't can't see destroying this country with osamaist ideas.

If there was Libertarian candidate and if I was to vote I would vote for one.

BTW, Clintons were warning about those shortcomings of Obama long before he got nominated.
But since Democrats nominated him anyway, they deserve what they will get come November, 2008.
McCain won't even have to campaign hard. All he has to do is state the obvious: that He IS the best candidate to be elected the next President of US.
With Hillary as opponent he would still be the best candidate, but would have to fight much harder to win GE.

Neither could Bill Clinton. ****, he even had the chance to give the kill order and passed it up.

Bear in mind, people - Al Qaeda has been out there a lot longer than just the Bush administration. Aside from a meaningless missile strike on an abandoned AQ training camp, Clinton did little-to-nothing about them.

It seems that history lessons have escaped out the window here.

It disturbs me more that I seem to have lived history. I was in the Army during the Clinton administration.

Don't ask and don't tell. That was Clinton's contribution to the military.

Olalah, take a look back through history during any wartime and what the two parties did or did not do. It's self explanatory.
