olalala, What bothers me about this "troopergae" affair is three things: 1. What is really lost in this whole affair is the mishandling of Alaskan trooper Mike Wooten. why this guy is still on the force is beyond me. He threatened to kill his ex-wife, violated numerous department policy and Alaskan law, and the apparent lack of disciplinary actions by the department. 2. The second question I have is that the media is really focusing on the dismissal and leaving the facts surrounding the dismissal moot. Yes, Walter Monegan was a respected public commissioner, however, he failed in his public duty, in my opinion. There should really be hard questions at the immediate supervisors of Mike Wooten. And since Gov Palin made a promise to clean up the government, this episode is a clear example of the favoritism and nepotism that exists in the Alaskan government, as well as American government in general. 3. Finally, the police union has a lot to answer for. I understand their responsibility to protect his rights, but not to offer alcohol and anger management counseling as part of the punishment is beyond me. I have been a memeber of a government union and know how these organizations operate. Where I used to work, the union would have been there to keep his job both in the present and in the future. But I consider them as part of the problem of this whole affair. More info.

And, it is the job of the wife to maintain her appearance. Are you one of those women who needs two 250 lb scales to weight yourself?
