I am a Canadian citizen. I was working in USA under H-1B. Now I got laid off and returned to Canada. My green card process is in the Lab Certification stage. Two concerns:

1. Does the law allow my employer to continue sponsor my green card if he is willing to?

2. Currently I am collecting the Unemployment Benefit, will the UI affect the green card in the future?
