my parents EAD card has been renewing for 8+ and every year they had to get their fingerprints. but this year my father received his EAD just by renewing and he didn't get a fingerprint letter. he just received renewed EAD card. is that usual? He also had a I-687 interview denied 4 years ago due to lack of proof and he has only EAD. Why can't he appy for green card?

they came on visitors visa. they filed for Lullac/LIFE ACT. they're life application was denied due to lack of proof and because of that they're work permit is being renewed. but WHY?

They cannot renew their EAD if lulac/life act is already denied. They must have some kind of case pending maybe an appeal or something. How can they renew their ead card if no case is either. Chk. with your parents what pending status they have right now.
