My I-485 case is pending at VSC since March 0f 2002 through LC-EAB3 Category. I paid $1000 to cover me through 245i since my LC was applied on Dec 1996. I came as a F-1 Visa and over stayed. I heard that all EAB3-245i application gets automatically transfer from VSC to Local INS office in NYC which gets transfer to Garden City Long Island for final interview.

Is that means that VSC will take about 365 to 540 days to adjucate my application and then trsnsfer to local INS (NYC) for interview which might take another 1 to 2 years??
