It's very simple. I've taken time from my very busy schedule to become more educated on the subject of immigration - illegal and legal (and politics in general). While I do not support illegal immigration, I can at least understand some of the causes. Perhaps some of you who post hateful rants on this forum should do the same!

That's exactly the problem though, when you start differentiate treatment based on possible "causes". For one thing, who get to determine the so-called cause?

The biggest issue with illegal immigration right now is lack of enforcement. Had enforcement been made a priority, we won't have the problem we have now.
What irks me though, its the attitude of some illegals supporters that blame that very same cause, while absolving illegals from any degree of responsibility whatsoever. Just because someone is looking for more money, doesn't mean he can disregard the law.

I just want to share my own experience, as far as the treatment received by INS officers to illegal aliens, what I saw not what someone told me or what someone wrote, it is what I witnessed, while being transported from Utah to Nevada during my deportation procedure, from the USA.

The INS bus was carrying around 40 people including a woman with her three children, the rest of us males over 18 years old, the woman was around 25 and her children were (I assume) 10, 9 and 7 aprox. The children and their (I assume) mother were all handcuffed individually and the 7 year old boy was so skinny that he got his hand in and out of the handcuffs to scratch his head or to point at something while traveling. We left Utah around 5 or 6 AM and we arrived (after waiting for like 4 hours in St George) to Las Vegas Nevada around 8 PM, we all were sitting in every seat for the whole time without food or water including the woman and the children, then at around 9PM we were lead to the Jail what happened in there was in my opinion not necessary we had been searched and registered in different situations while at the Immigration jail in Utah and then there at Las Vegas, Jail, we again faced cavities searches, but !hey¡ they were doing there jobs. I only assume that the human beings working as ICE officers used that explanation so they can sleep well at night.

HA HA HA HA I struck another nerve on these CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS and as usual a poor 3rd world woman makes a subjective opinion as to my background, HA HA HA HA, I'll be waiting for you when you come crawling asking for mercy like ALL ILLEGALS DO.

ProudUSC, I don't know what comment you've made in the past but you hit the nail on the head with this one. I respect your statement and you actually even got through to me, a legal immigrant who dispises illegal immigrantion. After I thought about it, illegals really don't have a choice. Put any 3rd world country on the borders of the US and they will do the same. Needless to say if more "patriotic" ignorant americans who visit this forum would take your advice and educate themselves a little bit more they would have a different view. Instead they spit out stupid hateful rants that are so seethrough and so obviously incorrect that it just raises the hair on your skin. S12: I do not have the custom or answering your comments, its just that you are so right to state your opinion, I mean if freedom of speech was only for for a selected group (any group) then it will not be freedom of speech rigth?, If I post something here to people I dont even know I also run the risk to be jduged by any means for the people I am allowing to do so.

The reason I am repsonding this time is because I like to share something regarding cultures and their slangs, not every single hispanic, latino person uses the same slangs or foul language for everything or everyone. As example there some countries where calling someone ARRECHO means hard worker but in other countries means something not appropriate to write. The word PENDEJO means something in Mxxico but to me is meaningless, Well it caught my attention because my son is sitting next to me and he was curious of why a person would use words to (I assume) insult others when he did not even know the meaning of the word, well I have to let my son that an explanation was in place.

Someone 12 for taking the energy and the time to answer.

One last thing, My son is working on a paper regarding world immigration and he just asked me a question: (Keep in mind that my son a 12 year old USC, will read your answers)

There it goes:, I understand (correct me if I am wrong) that in order for a crime to take place there has to be two elements: 1) The intent and 2) the action or crime itself, (I overheard something like mens rea or so..) well What happen with the people whom do not have the intent to overstay but the ended up doing it for X reason? are they criminals?

Aren't you already answering your own question? If they ended up doing it for a reason, that signify intent. They know it is prohibited by law, but choose to break it anyway.

And your response about overstaying is so typical of irresponsible illegals..."oh, I had to overstay..." what horsemanure.....no one can make somebody stay and airports are open every day...if you or any visa cheat really wanted to obey our immigration laws, you would have respected the terms of the visa privilege that was mistakenly given to you.....there are NO valid reasons for overstaying....or not returning to one's country...none....even those who miraculously fall in love ten minutes after being admitted to the US have nothing stopping them from returning to their own country in a timely fashion and applying for an immigrant visa there...but most just want to continnue their lying, cheating ways and then try to blame "circumstances" or our laws or who-knows-what for their lack of responsibility....well...sorry...maybe morons like exlora or proudusc might buy that krap, but I don't.

I would disagree. Not everybody who overstays had the intent to overstay and therefore not the intent to break the law. There are exceptions and who knows how many.
Let’s take following situation as an example:
An alien comes to the US on a fiancée visa and marries in the required time frame of 90 days. As soon as they get married the fiancée visa is not valid anymore. Let’s say, the couple becomes pregnant.
Somehow, in this time frame, the USC got a taste of the power he/ she would have over the alien, if he/ she would not file the I-130 and I- 485. The alien is afraid of fighting back since the USC has the power or even worse doesn’t even know that the USC did not send the papers in.
The USC starts mistreating the alien, abusing him/ her. The alien doesn’t know what to do, since he/ she is here as an overstay because the USC never filed the paperwork.
The alien is here illegal and knows it, and there is not a lot he/ she can do about it.
I could go on and on, but I think you know what I mean.

There is a reason why the alien is overstaying, a valid reason, and this is what bsanchez was talking about, I think

I have never advocated any of the things you've mentioned in your post, kind sir. I am trying to find a balance, though. To keep repeatedly posting hateful rants on this board, calling people names, referring to all who post here as $cumbag illegals is just wrong! This country is a country of immigration - 400 years we are celebrating this week in my state. Why can't you see that all the negative, hateful rants you post are against everything we true Americans believe in?
