HOW LONG THOSE IT TAKES INS TO NOTIFY YOU, DATE OF YOUR SWEARING IN?IS BEING ALMOST THREE MONTHS SINCE I WAS INTERVIEWED FOR MY CITIZENSHIP IN NYC.HOW DO I GO ABOUT FINDING OUT WHAT IS GOING ON.IS THERE ANY FORMS ?

I was interviewed for my N-400 on MAY 15TH 02,and I was Sworn in Yesterday August 27 as a US Citizen.What happened after your interview? Did you receive an N-14 letter? Was there an arresting issue on your petition? An arresting issue would affect the time in notifying you about a Swearing in date.The INS have four months to make a decision on your N-400 petition after your interview.You can call the Vermont service centre for a Status update.The Phones are always busy,but you have to keep trying.the number is 802-527-4913.Good-luck.
