Hello, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Romania. In a couple of months I want to apply to a H2B visa working program, and I really hope to get this visa, but I don't really know all the advantages of this visa, and my question for you is: for what kind of visa I can apply while I am in USA, so that I can work even after the H2B visa ends, but i won't have any problems with the law? Thank you and I hope you will clarify my with this issue.
by your posting it is clear that you have no intention of returning to Romania, thus it is most likely that you won't get the H2b visa, since the main requirement to get one is to prove to the satisfaction of the embassy officials that you will return to Romania rather than find ways to stay in the U.S.

Luchian, you can extend your H2B status with the same employer or other but you have to start this procedure 4 mo. before your visa will end, if you want just to visit US a while after your H-2B visa end you can change status to B2 by filing a application to USCIS. You can find a H-1B employer if you have a bachelor degree but this kind of visa will only be available next year for application on April 1, and start work in October, but maybe the legislation will change until then.

"fundamental rights?" - the OP does not have any fundamental right to enter the US....his first posting clearly implies he has other intentions than those he plans to reveal during his interview....read it again (or have somebody read it to you .... slowly....)...now, here is challenge #1....please find that "fundamental right" that any non-American (except a legal resident) has to enter the United States of America....
actually proudusc...you should read section 214b of the Immigration & Nationalty act...there it states that certain categories of nonimmigrant visas have the 'residence abroad' rule...in that every applicant seeking such a visa (subject to that rule) is presumed by US law to be an intending immigrant until they satisfy a consular official that they will return to their country of residence after a visit or period of study or work..." oops....sounds like 'guilty until proven innocent'...better read the laws again.
Thanks for the education, S12. You've just proven a point - you're sitting on a wealth of information relative to immigration and are unwilling to share it anymore. I feel bad for you. The event or events that made you change into such a hateful person must have been significant. But, that doesn't give you the right or power to post negative comments on this board directed towards people who aren't even in our country. If you could please narrow your 'hate' down to the ones who are already here, that would be a step in the right direction.
