It looks like more and more people are affected by FBI background check delays. I would like to ask anyone who is directly or indirectly related to such problem share their experience. For starters can somebody tell me how to file a law suit against INS? Is it necessary to have a lawyer, how much does it cost, where do you send a petition? Any information is highly appreciated.

I have been waiting for my background check for almost 2 yrs. now.As I understand this so called background check is in 3 steps which you can find out about it in INS website.Understand when you file a lawsuit INS has 2 months to respond.My lawyer is going to charge me $5000 to do this.
