Why do you want to get one for her--you presumably have a reason. If you don't have a reason, or need someone to find one for you, she doesn't need it.

Most probably you won't get a SSN depending in which state you reside and your current status.

If you need to file your taxes you will not be given a SSN and will have to apply for a ITN.
