* By all means we want you to enjoy yourselves here - just remember what ILW is all about and try to conduct yourselves accordingly. Let's keep this the best immigration support forum on the web. If it Is already The best forum on the Web, why make so many drastic changes? * Make your questions (and responses) as clear and intelligible as possible. If English is your native language then please use punctuation and well structured sentences to whatever extent possible. It is easier to read and understand your problem (and solution) if it's.... well, if it's easier to read. If English is not your native language, then just do the best you can. We'll figure it out. Keep the questions short and to the point, avoiding "stories" as much as possible. Avoiding Story's when so many ask What is your Situation? what is your story? Just do the best you can, Just because someone Is not a Good Writer does not mean we Wont try our best to decipher what you are trying to say. * Try to post questions in the appropriate thread. Moderators will move them if needed, but it's easier for all concerned if they are where they belong in the first place. Everyone is Guilty of this one! However Don't Jump All over someone that is New, and Unfamiliar with the Interface. * Please use standard size font when posting. All caps or large or small fonts or all bold or italic is not only hard to read, it's generally considered poor forum etiquette. For example, all caps is considered the equivalent of YELLING. Hudson can Be the new Language/Grammar Teacher. Maybe we can add a link Here For Those that have limited Writing Skills, and limited computer/Typing Skills? YELLING : Everyone Has Done this. Even Powers and Regulars. * Of course foul language and rude behavior will not be tolerated. Neither will spam or advertising of any sort. I Agree! * Also off limits are discussions of hacking, illegal downloads, posting sexually explicit or ****ographic images, links, or posts, and advertising of products. I Agree! * Please give your post a relevant topic subject. Topics titled "Please Help" don't attract as much attention from our regulars as something more descriptive. I Disagree, These Words From What I Have seen Get Answers More Quickly! This would Be too Much to ask For. * Use common sense when posting. We are a public, global forum. We are frequented by people of all ages and nationalities. What you find humorous others may very well find crude or offensive. Keep in mind we are primarily a technical support forum.... people don't come here expecting to be be confronted with offensive material or language of any sort. I Agree. * Sometimes people can write something that you may find offensive. Before launching into a public condemnation though, please consider that the person may not have intended to cause offense. It is very easy to misinterpret a post on forums, especially when dealing with multinational citizens. There is absolutely no need to resort to insults. Respect others' views even if you disagree with them. I Agree. * What is a troll? It's a person who posts something which is bound to stir people up and then sits back and watches as dozens of people jump in and start arguing. Sometimes trolls get their friends to join in or post under different names. Generally they will do anything it takes to get attention. If you see a message like this, please try and refrain from replying to it - it may well be locked/deleted anyway. Contrary To What Some Think. There Are No Trolls Here. Yet Everyone Has Acted Like One At one time or another Here. Aside From getting friends Etc. I personaly Havnt seen much of that Here. Though Some Disapprove of others, As Everyone does at One Point. Does that mean everyone is a Temporary Troll?
Trolls are generally deceitful and may use ambivalence as a method of covertly insulting, intimidating, or inciting a person or persons for their own sadistic pleasure. They often pick their words very carefully and are therefore able to defend their masked attempts at creating unrest, often redirecting the blame onto the community and its failure to understand them properly. Does this Mean, Our whole Government, Senate, Congress, The Whole of USA are Trolls?
Trolling is further considered one of two things; Either running a topic into the ground incessantly, or dragging up old arguments against a specific user/group/etc. long after the original discussion gas been put to rest and then targeting them/it specifically and needlessly. Trolling is the first step toward outright harassment of other members. This is the single biggest no-no in the community. Letting every argument drop isn't always a possibility, but learning when to let things go is a valuable tool, and not just in this community Everyone Is guilty Of This. * You cannot attack and/or personally insult someone. You cannot bait other forum members. Please, remain courteous and respectful to all forum members at all times. I Agree. * You cannot post the same thing in multiple forums. You must not open similar threads about the same or a similar topic. You cannot spam the board or send unsolicited messages to members via PM, email or any other means. I Agree.
If you want to add, please feel free.
This is A Very Disputable Topic 'IMMIGRATION" If Everything was Implemented, There would Be no Need For a Discussion Board at All! just Keep the Search Feature and let the server Find The Most Relevant Answers. NO PEOPLE NECESSARY! This Is Why ILW Is Great! PEOPLE! Interacting, Disagreeing, Debating, Helping, Voicing Their Stories, Diversity Makes ILW Great. Both Sides of The Fence Necessary. Both the Good and The Bad! People are Not Perfect. Therefore There Will Never Be a Perfect Solution, Only When Both Sides Can Find Something That All Can live With!
