Ok, my turn to ask for some advice :)

Does anyone here have any recent experience with how long it takes to receive a marriage based EAD after filing? I filed my I-765 (w/ other documents etc) on May 31, 2002. so it's been 73 days (if my math is correct), and my receipt notice came about a week ago, and it was dated July 17th. I know it can take up to 90 days, but if anyone could give me an idea of how much longer it might actually take I would appreciate it.

My husband's first EAD took 89 days. The renewal he filed after the year was up took 135 days. This was in San Antonio, Texas. (The only mess in Texas)

We are finding that the Florida INS is a bit more organized. It's going to depend on where you are.

Miki, how many days did it take for your husband to receieve it after the date on the receipt notice? (if that is any indication). Thanks :)

It took about 50 days after getting the actual receipt from San Antonio for the I 765. they took a long time to send a receipt.

okay , here is my question , does anyone have experience with the California office regarding the processing time for EAD ?
I received my receipt on July 12,2002 it says that processing time is about 21 days ...I wonder how many days( months?)do I have to wait?!

which california office Nomi? I mean, Sacramento issues the same day. LA, now that's a whole other deal. They can take up to 4 months. Depends on where u are.
