Hi friends, As l said before l filed my I-751 2 years ago..still havent received any notice.l and my lawyer are keep asking to USCIS about my case they never respond.l dont know what to do.My extension is over.Right now l am in different state for health issues and l am planing to visit my country. Can l get my passport stamped at local office here or do l have to go to my own state where my residency is.? please advise me what to do.Thank you very much in advance.
You can go to any office but you have to go online and make an appointment. Did you receive a notice of receipt??? Have your checks been cashed for the processing fee's?
yes l got my notice which says 1 year extension ..now the extension is over.and the check is cashed..and they never sent me anything..so if l go to DC local office do they have to stamp my passport or will they ask me to go to my own local office?
l feel so sad and nervous this 2 years and no decision.
did you receive a biometric's appt? have you received an interview? i really dont know if they will stamp your passport or not because i dont know any information about your case except that you are filing to have your conditions removed... are you still married?

Hello Taypan
2 years is NOT too long, only depending on what service center that you filed out of. You did not mention your service center that you filed your 751 from.
Only contact your congressman, if you are way outside of your processing time.
Look to the blue area on your left and choose processing time. find your service center. click on service center and locate 751 petitions. This will tell you the petitions that uscis is working on. See if you fall within that timeframe for when it was submitted.
As you were told already, make an infopass appointment to get stamp in passport, and check on your case.
there is no reason to feel nevous unless your case is well outside of the processing times for your service center.
l filed my I-751 to nebraska service center on 12th april 2006.still pending.l have no idea why its taking too long.my extension is expired.yes l will make info pass and go to local office here in DC.hope they dont ask me to go to my own office where my residency is.

As I suspected that you were in Nebraska.
Currently working on applications filed July 2006. So you are a couple of months outside of the processing time. You may be coming up soon, Im sure the biometrics that were not done are what is holding things up right now. Make sure you mention biometrics were not done when you visit with infopass appt.
TAYPEN How are you ? i hope you feel better, i just joined this fourm because of you, i filed i-751 A DAY after you filed,April 13 2006, NSC, never get anything else, yes you can get a stamp in any USCIS office if you have the expire green card with the extension letter, my question for you is did you applied for 400 ? because i did a year ago then they ask me to make a finger print, and also nothing happen, im waiting like you since two years, let me know please what happen with you.
