Did you like it better when those clowns were running rampant here with their hateful tirades?

Someone12 hasn't even appeared today - either his computer finally broke or he knows I'll be on him like flys on $hit when he starts messing with people here. I can't remember the last time he skipped a day here.

If we seperate politic from the economy of this country, America needs all illegal immigrants who are already working in this country. They give $48 billions dollars to this economy. So,the solution will come soon for all illegals to work in this country. Nobody is going to deport the 12 millions illegals. Soon the politicions are coming for a comprehensive program. Accept it or not this the truth and president Bush said in his last speech recently;"We are not going to deport the 12 millions illegals who are already in this country".

Someone 12 has not appeared because he has heard the truth that all illegals who are already to stay in the USA. So, what is he going to say for them later when they will be given the right to stay and work?

ProudUSC,
I take it when you say since you've become more educated...do you mean academically or more educated in the sense that you've learned more about what's going on with illegal immigration. I think it's the latter and if not I stand corrected. It make me think, as I alluded to in my post, that I wasn't sure just how much you knew about it. Don't get me wrong, some people know about one aspect and others know more about other aspects of it. It's sad when there are people that really don't know a whole lot. You have an issue with your brother's relationship and hold a lot of animosity toward her. After all, he is your brother. I do want to say without going into it that your brother has allowed this and I take it still is in the relationship. So this has really hit home with you as you said because you don't like anyone betraying a family member. Understandable. When you speak of being against illegal immigration, you're speaking for one thing against the ones that cheat the system such as your case with your brother. On the other hand, I take it your strongly against the Mexican illegal immigration as well. Just illegal immigration across the board, right?

Fist, I'm not discounting you if have only recently learned more about Mexican illegal immigration. Nor would I want to be discounted because I don't have a deep knowlege of the entire INS process of all the requirments and appeals, and all this info that I'm learning from all the posts. It certainly makes me feel for these people because of the length of time and all the b.s. it seems they have to go through. They definitely would have angst toward the visa cheats.

One must have a broad knowledge of what has been going on and is going on. If I read a newspaper article, for example, I will read two or three more on the same topic so that I can compare what I'm reading with each journalist's view. I look and find the biases. I read articles, listen to radio talk shows, television discussions and try to keep up with what the experts are saying. It takes a lot of reading and for the past several years I've done my share. Have you studied last years proposals such as the Kyl-Cornyn Act and others? All these were enlightening for me espcially when I pulled something off a website (wish I could recall it right now but can't) that explained the categories in detail. I felt like I knew soooooo much more than what I'd read in newspapers and magazines. You might not have an interest beyond a certain point but we must be as enlightened as we can and not make our judgements just on what we hear on Headline News or Fox every few days or weeks. What I keep my ears open for is what I hear and read and is a consistent theme whether it's from the above-mentioned sources or Spanish newspapers/television or other digests. Former President Vincent Fox stated, almost first before I read it elsewhere, that he thought the U.S. will implement a plan as the guest worker program and not build the fence. I've heard it many times since and I personally don't think it will happen. Of course this goes back to when Bush had to come up with something to placate the American public over their outcry about border security. At that time, if he'd said it earlier, his ratings would've been beter. So much for that. Many people really have no associations personally with Mexicans or other South American people. Some towns in the U.S. don't even a Spanish station on the local network. If the home doesn't have cable t.v. then these people never really know much about the cultures - only what little they see or hear. Nothing is really in their realm of existence. Univision is a channel that will open a lot of peoples eyes. The Mexicans you see in the U.S. are of a working-class. The people you see on Univision are Mexican and some look Anglo. There are people in the U.S. that think all Mexican have the same general facial characteristics! Believe me, I wish I looked like a few of those women! Enough of this, I just wanted to say that one really has to have a broad view of illegal immigration and from many sources.

Secondly, I want to believe when you said illegals are the scum of the earth that it stems from your familial situation. I don't recall if that was directed toward Mexicans, I think it was along that line though. ProudUSA, if all we have to worry about is illegals being the scum of the earth. Know what? We don't have much to worry about. We should be worrying about terrorists such as the young man, USC, that was arrested last week. Do you think that you're hatred toward illegal immigration (not the Mexicans) stems from your brother's wife wanting the GC as you suspect? It's okay to be angry because it hit home and if I was in your shoes I might feel the same way, probably would if I was sure that was the case. But please don't have such a deep hatred toward the persons.

It's the behavior, ProudUSC, not the individual person. I might like a particular person but not like their behavior. I can look at both sides of it and try to keep it in perspective.

Since I think your hatred toward illegal immigration is rooted in your suspicion of this woman in quesion I'm taking it that you're saying you're against all illegal immigration including the Mexican illegals that are here. May I ask you to please keep these two type of immigration issues separate.

There is a long relationship between these illegals and the U.S. I should be viewed as two totally separate types of issues. Although it comes under the umbrella of illegal immigration, dealing with the Mexicans is conceivably different. The more you know about the past the more open a perspective you'll have. Our Mexican illegal immigration problem goes back a long way. I don't know how much you really know, you mentioned familiarity with the guys in the work environment. I'd like to know how you were intending to help them. I couldn't help thinking it was somewhat ironic to want to assist them. ProudUSC, just because they're hardworking, etc. isn't enough to base decisions on an entire culture of people although that's a good start.

Thank you for your understanding and I appreciate any response from you. I'm working long hours so I can't post as quickly. Overlook any typos, I'm too tired to deal with such a triviality.

illegal aliens are parasites; they don't even come close to paying their way with whatever paltry sales taxes they might pay...they send $30B back to their own countries to buy booze and cigarettes, not to invest in their own businesses. Deport them all --and take tinydiktimmy with them.

How the fu@k you you know, fu@kstick? Do you have enough close friends back in Mexico receiving money from illegals here to have first-hand factual knowledge? I think that a$$hole you talk out of grew a pair of arms and hands for you to be able to type the same idiocy that you speak.

To the little t-u-r-d butt-boy timmy, the only reason the democrats want these people legal is so that they can get more ignorant people to vote for them. The democrats get more ignornant votes than informed votes but despite this I am positive the GOP will wipe the smile off your face in 2008 and give your pathetic, coward a-s-s a good kicking............what the democrats should call themselves in future is the Party of Chaos, Taxes, disaster, cowardice and Hypocriscy

Hey toothless redneck, shouldn't you be out on your porch playing your banjo?

And while you're doing so, kick around the idea that Republicans want to keep illegals here for cheap labor for business.

You braindead moron.

Actually, you neanderthal-like redneck, with the tens of millions of people listening to misleading right-wing radio and lapping it up because they are not bright enough to question things, THE EXACT OPPOSITE is true.

He's not rich, nor really good looking - has a history of making bad decisions and is 12 years her senior? The writing is on the wall that this woman just wants an 'in' to this country - then she'll dump him as soon as she's gotten a green card and ****ed the life blood out of him (probably making up some kind of abuse allegation). I can't stand this part of illegals - when they come close to hurting my family members (even the stupid ones), it just blows my stack.

Wo wo wo! What do we have here???? Your skirt got entangled this time, Abby - no choice, babe, got to deal with it!!!!

First stop: Mr. “brother-in-law” if you’re for real, I genuinely apologize, it’s not my own doing to drag your private life into this. So whatever I just said and will say about you, Please! Please! Please! nothing personal. Not sure, things could get even nastier and uglier. I’m so sorry. I can't resist to have a word or two about your sister-in-law’s {{{{{{writing on the wall}}}}}}” thing, and maybe just blow her stack a little bit more in the process.

Next and last stop: very ProudUSC, kumare, I joined this forum two weeks ago with a humorous note; tipped by a friend who said it’s a bit informative, a bit side-splitting.

Indeed, she’s right, it’s worth a peek or two as work and family schedules permit – gives me lots and lots of reasons to giggle – a nice pastime and for free.

Know what, Miss? It’s the “more than 80% sure she’s only using him for a green card” line that irked my beak, raring to sting. Had you said “50%” it could have been a let-go foul for me, an opinion, your opinion – still foul but could be chalked up under the brush-aside column.

Your “bro’s girl” in the Philippines could be one of my relatives, a former student, or anyone else who’s not even given by you the benefit of the doubt and recklessly dubbed “illegal” even while still outside of the US. Wow!

Would she do what you thought: use him, s u c k up his life blood (not much as you said), and dump him afterwards, abuse allegation, blah blah blah? Maybe, but maybe not, if I was in your crotch, it’s my bro’s concern, is it not?

Ok, he’s clueless, at 44, just sometimes surfs the internet, till one day “he accidentally met her” who’s 22, fell in love. Hey, forget about nationalities and stations in life, to me, these are two consenting adults, are they not???? Oh oh! What in heaven’s name are your fingers thereat for tinkering with your bro-in-law’s personals? Yes, I remember that he's naive and clueless at 44.

Ow, because you care…… “he has a history of making bad decisions…..” Too bad, meaning, wrong choices of life partners in real world, dumped by a couple of them, or he battered two or three in the past? Which of the two scenarios? I’m not sure, but why is “abuse allegation” a part of your equation, history, eh? Sorry, but these are all your words.

And now because it’s convenient and a good tool for your fuzzy patriotism, your bro became a “stupid family member” and there’s a young, poor lady in the far off realm of the horizon who is out there, and it depends on your “clueless bro’s decisions” this time, will hurt your family! And look what a family it is. Boy, with how many ProudUSC’s on board, I wonder. Wow!!!!!!!

But just perhaps for a change, it’s time your bro is given a life of his own – on his own. Maybe when he turned 45 shortly, he will grow determined and courageous enough to make his own independent decisions that aren’t “bad” by “your” standards. Maybe you’re too close for comfort. Start with little things. Maybe he’s tired of sharing toothbrushes, maybe he feels it’s time he had his own…. or breakfasts in bed. Maybe he wants it in the kitchen, to prepare and eat by himself. I don't know, I'm just thinking aloud.

I hate to borrow the following lingo, but so be it, if this could put the matter to rest and let these lovers be left alone and have their chance.

Ok, here’s my concluding and “final” take on this: my soon-to-be-victim d i r t b a g might marry your shy v i l l a g e i d i o t.

Hi Explora,

I think you're a very intelligent poster - one of the few on this board. I've been out all day having a great time (Polar Bear Plunge), but when I collect my thoughts, I will post back and answer your questions.

Immigration is nothing more than a cost-benefit tradeoff.

When immigrants, legal or illegal, have a greater benefit to America than they cost it is a good deal. When the opposite is true it is not.

Therefore the question is, are immigrants a benefit or not?

The way things are going, as a result of our current immigration policies there will be 500,000,000 people here in 40 years and maybe a BILLION in 2075. Is that good or bad?

Illegal immigrants come here and, allegedly, "do the jobs that Americans won't." Is that good or bad?

Guest worker come in and fill the jobs that employers can't find workers for. Is that good or bad?

The problem is that you do not have enough information to answer many of those questions because NOBODY is tracking and reporting on any of the collateral aspects that comes with immigration.

For instance, are illegal aliens committing crime? More or less crime than a citizen?

Since most things in life are a cost-benefit trade off, in tolerating illegal immigration, how many Americans is it acceptable to be molested, raped, murdered and killed by illegal aliens?

Come up with your acceptable number and then go to the report The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration posted on http://www.congressandimmigration.com/ for the answer. I'll bet you will be shocked to find out how off your acceptable number is.

I am new here. And here are some of my observations.

1) timmy_d11 - Dude - your flashy, ******, link thing is giving me a headache

2) Is everyone a politician? Whats with the mud slinging?

3) My first response to reading this forum was - "WOW, we are embarrassing"

Now, for everyone here who wants to discuss.

1) I know that where I live there are a lot of immigrants, I don't know if they are legal or not and frankly I don't care. We would not get any business done without them.

2) Why is everyone afraid of these people? If they are taking your job "GET BETTER AT WHAT YOU DO." It is always survival of the fittest and more competition will only make us better.

It seems that if we just stop them at the border and tag them (SSN is a tag) They can work and start paying taxes. (lets not pretend that immigrants are not hard workers, I have seen nothing but.)

3) Almost everyone in this country is here because of immigration. It has only made us stronger and denying our roots is a bad idea.

So I ask again, what is everyone afraid of?

obviously you have not seen the overcrowding of public schools in many states, hospitals suffering huge financial losses because irresponsible dirtbag illegals run up huge bills and never pay..and wages in many industries (construction comes to mind) are depressed to pre 1980 levels because illegals work for $5 a day....that is why we don't want illegals here....they do not make the US a success because these jagoffs pick lettuce...

ProudUSC,
Hang in here with the discussion group and with your help maybe we can get back to what it should be. Yes, your help! We all have to work together. I myself, and eveybody else, benefits when others make us look at things in different perspectives. If we were left on our own, we'd always look at things the same exact way. Long time ago I made myself use more discipline in making any type of judgements. Even a rumor, I needed to know more, couldn't just go on what was first spread, had to be more info to it. Take for example, illegal immigration. It's okay to be against it but everybody needs to know more about it, right? Americans really only began to get an education about it in the last year and a half.

You've read posts from many good people here on various topics. Nobody really wants to slam anybody. Most of these people just want to have some wholesome discussions. We probably have a tendancy to react stronger sometimes when we know that an issue is multi-faceted and maybe an OP isn't recognizing that. As long as things don't get out-of-hand it can be constructive. Sure people will fire off occasionally but when the discussions continue with name-calling the discussion has then rotted out.

All of us have to be open-minded to others thoughts. Sometimes we will go to any length to get the person to think our way. That's okay too. We listen, think about it, and make our own decisions. But isn't it great that we all learn from each other? Yes! It's appears to me that you had an interest in inquiring about immigration and joined the discussion board. Speaking for myself and others, we only get back what we put it in. We all have to make a decision in which manner we want to participate. If it's just for kicks then one won't benefit any real reward. I think you came to this board with more meaningful intentions. I also think you'll learn more about issues just as I have. Nobody here is 100% right nor is anybody 100% wrong. Truthfully, repeating ourselves over and over isn't getting us anywhere but more agitated and furious. Let's all make a concerted effort to share our discussions in a manner that is respectful of everyone and especially to an OP that has began the topic. (Explora, repeat this ten times! See, I have to tell myself over and over too. None of us are perfect.)

Hang in here. As far as all the name-calling, I say F*** the dumb Sh**!! Let's get back to the topic at hand! Agree?

I'm looking forward to when I'll be able to spend adequate time reading over this. I might be more shocked as to who came up with these acceptable numbers since that's actually what is peaking my interest. Something to look forward to finding out about.

I was thinking the same thing. I was actually looking for the numbers that he is quoting in his report, by screening officially governmental reports on the numbers of federal inmates - none, I mean none compares to what is mentioned in the report of this journalist and subsequently portrait by you - looks like he's succeeded in making you a s.u.c.k.e.r.

It's the people that make up s.h.i.t and use the immigrants legal or non-legal to push their agenda. I personally have learned, in another issue that is deeply affecting my life, to not, under no circumstances believe in journalists.

Crime is unacceptable, period - no matter what nationality is involved committing it. Hell, I think it’s a crime to use scapegoats and mislead a people to the detriment of another.
