my plan is as simple as tinydiktimmy....
give illegals one year from a given date to (a) report to the nearest DHS office and then (b) self deport at their OWN expense [saving taxpayer dollars]-- they then will face a two year bar to readmission [thus they pay in the currency most dear to them - time, not paltry dollars] after which they can apply for and qualify for any type of visa they wish [including marriage]...crminal aliens are just plain outta here....after one year, all those illegals who did not take this last opportunity to show some respect and responsibility for US laws become deportable felons, subject to immediate arrest and deportation, without exception and then barred permanently from ever entering the US legally....simple, effective, low in cost, gives these folks a chance to do something right....nothing in this idea that is forceful (other than arrests in the future) and more to the point, nothing that rewards 12M illegals....
