Hi, i am engaged to a man from holland...he has been here for 5 years (graduated from ccsu and then got his masters at sacred heart) Currently he is working as an athletic trainer with an OPT. We are set to marry July 2, 2006...what steps should we take first?

uscis said that i shouldnt do anything until like a month before the wedding because paperwork changes often and the stuff i fillout wouldnt be good when i actual marry in july... this ok?

you are thinking well ahead... good for you.

There are two things you can start doing: - download forms required for adjustment of status
http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/LPRApplication.htm and see what kind of papers you and your spouse will have to provide to USCIS (birth certificate, divorce decree..), and start collecting them (I doubt that will change).

- also start keeping everything and anything (OK - to some extent ) that you think may prove your relationship: letters, photos, boarding passes if traveled together...

How to marry????.... in dutch tradition....take a train from A,dam( schepol) towards Zuid, change in eindhoven and got to tilburg and there is a beauti ful church.... in tulburg or in maastricht ( i like both churches)......... just kidding.

you can only file paper work once you are married. it will be straight forward Adjustment.
