Hello JuJu,

I have felt every pain that you are feeling now. I left behind alot of my things and now where I am I have nothing, just bike, rent and wife and daughter to take care of. Don't settle for less. Remember life isn't complicated, people just make life that way.

Hello Fatalerror,

What will drinking accomplish? What does burning the American flag going to help? Get your ass out there and fight! Don't turn into a clown for these idiots. Fight!

My daughter lived with me in the states for 5 years and now she went home for her visa interview and she was told by the Consul general that because she is now 19 and has overstayed for 5 years she is looking at the 3/10 year ban
Even thought she had medical reports showing her ordeal in St. Lucia. HEARTLESS SET OF PEOPLE WE ARE DEALING WITH

There is a tragedy behind every one of these stories. We need to bring this to the public's eye and keep it there. We need to demand that our representatives stand up for their constituents and their loved ones.

izez,
My heart goes out to you. Please send me more details at juju@deliveryman.com and we will include your story on the web page we hope to create :) I want to start collecting as many stories as possible. We should start sending them to our local newspapers as well.

Leader,
you rock :)
Did you get my email?
I'm glad you are with your wife and daughter, and I'm sure they're glad, too.

TB. I am pretty sure you will. You can take the revolutionist out of a revolutionary, but you can't take the revolutionary out of a revoluionist. Think about it. The more I spread my germ the more people are exposed. You can't change my mind so forget about it.

I am the hunter.

I am really touched for what you wrote. I am one of the the victims for the 3/10 years thing. People who are not the in the same situation can't feel what we feel.
I was deported from my husband and not allow to enter the US for 10 years. It is hard to describe all the hardship from the seperation. The only thing I want to say is that I am glad I am still alive, I don't know how I went through this but I did.
I just feel the immigration officers are cold blood, I did apply for a waiver, they could have granded me the visa so I will not violated their immigration law again. Instead they are trying to exchanging the visa with information I I don't know but they think I know. I feel that they just thinking about their promotion but our commom need. Since then, I hate be a human been, I found people are disgusting.
now I feel better, at least there are still someone good people such as Bass. I know I shouldn't stay in the US illegally, but I am a human been too.

Fatel and Leader,
If it's OK with you guys, I think I would like to start compliling stories, articles, statistics, etc, maybe organize them, etc. We can start a web page, I'm sure. I could do that, or we could work on it collaboratively. We will need to decide where to put it. We can use my space, or whomever's, but one person will have to be repsonsible for uploading it. I will have the form letters done this week, I'm sure, and hopefully Leader will know how to make the post. We need a volunteer to compile a list of representatives, so that ppl can choose their state and it will automatically go to the right representative. This is beyond my knowledge.

Sorry I haven't gotten the letters done yet. The beginning of the school year is always very busy. I have to work a second job as well, and I've been busy with birthday stuff :)

I think we should definitely get going on something this week.

"Carl R. Baldwin writes "The fact that large numbers of law-abiding,
tax-paying aliens will continue to be excluded from visa lottery benefits
should prompt Congress to make the program meaningful by abolishing the
bars for overstays created by the 1996 Illegal Immigration Reform and
Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA). We have had enough time to see how
counterproductive this law has been."

Im an out of status individual, i've been living like a criminal for the past few weeks being so very careful with my actions coz im so so afraid to get caught. I dont talk that much about my situation coz im too afraid whom i should trust. I dont know anything about this 3/10 yr ban not until i visited this site, and thank you so much for the tons of info i got. I definitely disagree with this law,it is so unhumane. Most of us illegals have no choice and we didnt pray for this all we wanted is to be with our families, start a new life and live our american dream.
Im 22 and night and day i keep on praying and hoping that i wouldnt get caught and be punished, im too young, i got lots of dreams, i dont have any bad intentions, believe me even going to the store scares me.
To my fellow illegal sis n bro, ill keep on praying for our safety and that we will all be soon legal residents of the United States!

So, count me in i hate the 3/10yr ban, and together we will stand and fight for our rights!

I don't even want to go back to the U.S. now, since I am so disappointed with their so called the most humanitarian laws.
I used to love the U.S. so much because I believe this is the only place for us to live like a human, but now, going back there will just cause more pain.
I am not saying we should break any law in any countries. But they should understand the sad story behind the violation.
thank you for your concent
God bless all of us

Julie,
You can start by compiling a list of the representatives in your state and where we can write to them. Also, you could write a letter that you would want sent to your representatives regarding the 3/10 year ban. We can add it to other letters, or use it as a form letter for others to send. You can email me this info at juju@deliveryman.com
Send me your story, with all the heartbreaking and horrible details so that we can publish it. We need to get the word out. I want to start sending letters to the local papers. I will send them here in Wisconsin. Perhaps you could start sending them to your local papers. Also, I've been writing letters to the editors at the immigration web sites to try to get the word out. Anywhere ppl will read it.

Anyone interested in maintaining a chat room for this issue? Somewhere we can keep the ignorant from blathering?

Let me know please!
juju

PS- Judging by the number of hits this thread has received, I'd say there are a LOT of interested ppl! I hope they start writing in about it. The more info and stories we can gather, the better. Someone should try to get us on the news :)
Good luck! I hafta go to work now :[

F-1 student who is out of status doesn't accrue unlawful stay because I-94 reads D/S; hence not subject to 3/10 year ban. Good for F-1 I say! Does anyone know if INS changed it with recent student visa reform?
