Its best you didn't marry her anyway. Sooner or later this would have backfired in your face. She is already married which makes any current ceremony void. The purpose was what? To bring her son and 'husband' over. Which means you would be dumped at some point. Now, this is where it really gets ugly. There is a thing called VAWA. Read up on it. This is what she had in store. Once the I-130 was approved she would have filed a vawa complaint against you. This is probably the fastest path to a green card. In the process though. You as the USC are destroyed. She gets the GC, imports her family and lives happily ever after at your expense. While you have your reputation permanently destroyed. Even though its not you anymore. You have a duty as an American to protect your country. make the call to ICE and report this. What goes around comes around. If you remain silent then don't expect anything different from other people when its you as the victim.
The moment you capitulate to lawlessness you've lost your civility.

NO NO NO! She did buy me a car, and pay for my debt, along with a bunch of food and taking me out to places. The only thing she said she would pay me for was my school. "I'll pay for your school since your marrying me." That was the only agreement we had, and either way I did DENY it. "No, no you don't have to."

He was following through with the plan..she didn't! He signed marriage papers even if not all were signed to make it legal. I'm sorry Davdah, he was willing to commit fraud, even if he loved her. He knew what she wanted and was willing to do that. Amazing how because he is the USC the usual ones are not bashing...forget he conspired or took money whether a gift or not to marry her. You know what mike, just leave. I don't love this woman any more. How could I? She was using me to get a green card, and when the lawyer said that, she left me in a month.

So if say she was caught and questioned..don't you think she will confess to you and your deal? She will know it has come from you, so be warned. They can check your records and see that she paid off your debts, she might even have evidence that could put you in trouble. Count yourself lucky she married someone else. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- God Bless America - God Bless Immigrants - God Bless Poor Misguided Souls Too National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1.800.799.SAFE (7233) 1.800.787.3224 (TTY) Anonymous & Confidential Help 24/7

First of all thank you sprint, dav and USC. You perhaps saved me from facing conspiracy to commit fraud charges. There is more than enough proof for them to prosecute me for that. A letter, pictures of our marriage and those signed marriage documents. So basically there is nothing I can do and just forget about it?...

tO REPORT AN ILLEGAL ALIEN OR CRIMINAL ALIEN RESIDENT contact the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division of the Department of Homeland Security by calling (866) DHS-2ICE to "report suspicious activity" (866) 347-2423. You can also make a report with the DHS/ICE Investigations division in a city near you through the telephone numbers listed on the ICE web site "” for Special Agent-in-Charge (SAC) Offices, and their subordinate field offices called Resident Agent-in-Charge (RAC) and Resident Agent Offices (RAOs). You can even write them a letter if you want to make a written record.

I wouldn't want anything to backfire on him if he reports her to ICE. His part in all of this was not totally on the up and up (if I understand correctly). He's still young and doesn't need the extra headaches going though trying to have her prosecuted. I say better to move on. Revenge is not always sweet.

You're welcome. It's totally up to you. I just think it would be best in the long run to try and put this behind you. You are young and have alot of living to do without focusing on negative stuff. Good luck to you!

And what would I say exactly. "They married for the green card, lololol." There would be no proof. The only way to at least show proof is with me, and if I do I'll get in trouble. What should I say?

This is absurd! Trying to accuse somebody without proof, trying to bend the law to seek revenge is a crime! Making false statements is also a crime. Now, take a deep breath and do what's right, and that may or may not be what you want.

That would do it. You would probably need to mention she is already married in japan, korea, or where ever she is really from. No proof needed. An entry will be made in her record to check it out. If you have the name of her other husband that will help. Have any phone numbers of her family back home? Pass those along. The fact is, what you did was wrong. But that doesn't mitigate the greater wrong being committed at present. Nor does it place you in a position of ineligibility to do what is right.
The moment you capitulate to lawlessness you've lost your civility.

Thanks. Assuming she did file for divorce when she told me, is it really possible to get a foreign divorce from Korea that quickly?
