I hope someone will be able to help me, my Husband is a usc and about to file for my greencard the problem is he was married before after the divorce and everything else he's in alot of debt which he's thinking about filling bankruptcy can this provent me from obtaining a greencard we're broke even though he works for a very good salary. Thanks in advance.

As long as his salary is above the poverty line or if it is not, he can get a co-sponsor or use you as a household sponsor if you have been living with him for 6 months.
The INS does not look at bankruptsy or credit reports. they only look at income

In case of filing for residency, you have to file an affidavitt of support to prove that you wont be a burden for the US, where you show your income and properties. In case that your husband doesn't qualify or doesn't reach the 125% of poverty limit, someone else can fill out this affidavitt. Someone who is legal, reach the poverty line and promise to or garantee that you won't ask for federal or state monetary help or assistance.
