i have lived In the Washington D.C. Area for 40 plus years, i Have met and experienced people from every Part Of This planet In great Numbers. However up until a few weeks ago I have only experienced a handful of British here. I Always wondered why not more??? Note; I Have been In over 100,000 homes and Businesses In the Washington metro area. Met movie stars, politicians, every Single news Anchor, professional Athletes, soooo Many people! But Only a few British. Why? USA Is closer To England By way Of plane Than Most Other Parts Of The World That are Much far ther away, Yet More From those country's Than Yours! WHY???

As for not meeting many brit's in DC, you probably not looking very hard *L* We are all over the USA. That said, there's probably a bigger concentration in the major cities than out in the country. Just go to Orlando, FL any day of the week to find brits. I would have thought there would be loads of us in DC because that's where the British Embassy is.

i Dont Know either? i Have been in Many Homes And businesses. Meet Many, Many, People! i Never Look, But I do Listen! Most brits Would have recognizable Accent correct??? I Have a few British Origin Customers, Just not as Many as I Would Have Thought? Orlando you say, interesting! I Have been In Every Embassy In D.C. as well as special Places .
