Hi guys......I have an employment based I-485 in process, before that couple months ago i heard wonderful news that i was selected as a winner for 2003 diversity lottery. I recieved the paper work for further processing (consular) - what should i do. I am eligible to do consular processing anytime from December 2002. Does anyone know how long consular processing takes to actually get teh green card. Its for my husband and myself. Please advise !. any suggestions will help

Consular processing requires you to be in your home country. If you are working in the U.S. and don't wan't to leave, I sugest you speak with an immigration lawyer. You should not need them to do the paperwork for you, that is simple. But you may need to file for adjustment of status and they can advise you on that. In any case, don't waste any time. A few years ago, INS lost the paperwork for a number of lottery winners and they lost thier visas, with no hope of getting them back, because the lottery times out and you must be processed in the nominated year (2003?).
