My I-485 has just been transferred from the Vermont Service Center to the Newark local office. DOes someone have any idea as to when I can get a letter for the interview date and also, will I get a notice for fingerfrinting first BEFORE the interview? Deatils of my case are as follows:
Labor cert - approved Dec, 2002 lst EAD - May, 2003 I-140 - approved Jan, 2004 2nd EAD - May, 2004 I-485 - transferred to Newark 7/6/04 NO fingerprinting appt yet
Hi, i just saw similiar message in my "case status online" that it got transfered to Hartford CT on July 7th and local office will contact me for the interview ... My fingure prints were done in last year May and i just applied for extension in my EAC ...
I was told (by 2 lawyers) that i will get my approved 485 from VT and there will be no interview ... can someone please tell me whether its good or bad and also if it means more wait ... Thanx
I got the same thing. My I485( emploment based) application has been transferred from California service center to Local service center(Phoenix) on July 20 2004. The case status says it takes several months for them to schedule an interview.I got my finger prints done on 15th July 2004( second time) They say finger prints expire after 15 months. I dnt know if it is good thing or bad. I spoke to my lawyer, he says it is unusual for them to do this. Only 5 percent cases get transferred. May be this is new trend for INS.
