My employers is filing my case for H-1 B extension this week. My current H-1 will expire on september 30th. My question is if I wont get my renewal by october 1st, what shall I do, is there any grace period available or I have to leave US after 30th september?

You may remain in the U.S. and work for your company during the extension process.
