As February 14th is approaching I thought to open this thread for lovers to post their poems and everything else they wish! Here it is mine:
WHO EVER LOVED THAT LOVED NOT AT FIRST SIGHT?
It lies not in our power to love or hate, For will in us is overruled by fate. When two are stripped, long ere the course begin, We wish that one should love, the other win; And one especially do we affect Of two gold ingots, like in each respect: The reason no man knows; let it suffice What we behold is censured by our eyes. Where both deliberate, the love is slight: Who ever loved, that loved not at first sight?

There is the melody I can't play for you, There is the song I can't sing for you.
Always, I want to be with you, Touch, feel your heart.
Between us There is the line I can't cross.

You never made A lamp base out of a Cracker Jack box, An extra room out of an unused closet, Or a garden out of a pile of clay. All you ever made was A woman out of me.

O my Luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June: O my Luve's like the melodie That's sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my Dear, Till a' the seas gang dry.
Till a' the seas gang dry, my Dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun: And I will luve thee still, my Dear, While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only Luve! And fare thee weel, awhile! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' it were ten thousand mile!

I awake in the morning just to see your face To hear your voice To feel your touch Every morning is special here wrapped in your love.
The warmth of our bodies together holding each other tight to start our day.
I see the light in your beautiful eyes, the smile on your face Your gentle touch on my skin I hear your whispers of love softly in my ear The voice I long for every day. Kissing each other gently to remove the nights sleep from each others eyes. I want to be in this moment forever I need this time to energize my life and my day.
This moment of the morning is food for my heart and soul It makes me move through the day when we are apart It fills my dreams of life forever with you.
I cannot wait until this is real Until it is our every day together in love. Until the day I am yours eternally as your wife and only love.
There is no place I'd rather be. No other person I'd rather love. This place holds my heart for eternity.
I Love You So

Create or find a charred stick. You will also need a few dried rose petals & a piece of paper.
Using the charred part of the stick as you would a pencil, draw two inter-linked hearts on paper as you visualize yourself enjoying a satisfying relationship. Draw with power.
Hold the rose petals in your projective hand & send fiery, loving energies into them. Sprinkle the petals over the linked hearts. Do this with power.
Wrap the package around the petals. Still visualizing, throw the package into a fire. (Or, light it in the flame of a red candle & throw into a heat proof container.)
As it burns, the power is released. "
Remember, what is important here is not the ingredients, not the ritual - it is the focusing of your personal power by using symbolism and icons in a manner that is meaningful for you.

You will need four Oreos, a bowl of chocolate ice cream, a picture or representation of your target (stick figure will do), a paper napkin and an unopened package of Twix.
Lay out the napkin flat on a table and place the Oreos, twisted open, on each corner. Place the representation of your intended in the center, atop which you place the bowl of ice cream.
From the lower left hand corner, in a clockwise fashion, pick up the two parts of the Oreo, and, imagining yourself and your intended in an interesting tryst, incant:
"Two into one - two into one; let's git nekkid and have some fun"
Place the two parts together, and in your projective hand crush them into the ice cream. Crush with power.
After all four are crushed into the ice cream, mix them in well, and consume. Thus are two made one, and are consumed with passion.
Save the Twix - which, as you might know is two cookies in one package - and offer it to your intended casually the next time you see them.
One is as good as the next, or put together your own: what is important is the strength of your belief in its effectiveness. If it don't work... its simply cause you didn't believe it enough. Like Tinkerbell.

OK - We'll start with some plumbing basics: behold your bathroom sink. At one time, it was sparkly and new, the U-bend a graceful arc, the drain clear, smooth, and waiting, almost eager, to receive the rushing torrent from your morning shave. Each morning, you would rejoice in the shaving ritual. And no matter whether you used a Track II, Track III, Mach 3, or even a cheap disposable, your trusty drain could be counted on to wash your excess DNA away from your sight and down to the albino alligators in the sewers below.
Then, after many razors had come and gone, you started to notice some small problems with your drain. Not serious ones, mind you. Just... noticeable. No longer did it seem as eager for your morning time together. It became sluggish, slow to drain, unable to handle the same water pressure it once joyfully and unthinkingly drained. And then, one day, it happened. The water simply...laid there. Unmoving. placid. Disaster had struck to its fullest degree. Well beyond your view, the once clear and shining pipe work had aged, the diameter of the drain slowly closing as years of use built up a constricting ring of dirt, oil, grime and matted hair.
Your first response, after the initial mortifying moment, was to plunge the bejimminies out of the sucker. So you pumped away with the plunger madly, trying to force the water through by sheer force of pressure, hopefully dislodging the worst of the obstruction in the process. And it may have worked, too...for a while. But the closing diameter down the length of the drain had become too entrenched, and soon the plunger was out again, for longer and more brutal periods, before the water was allowed to make its exit from your sink. Eventually, through the helpful intervention of television commercials, you learned the true cause of your miseries and sallied forth to purchase Liquid Plumber. Liquid Plumber attacks the problem by trying to open the diameter of the pipe from the inside, instead of simply forcing the water through with pressure.
Now, as lurid as all that may sound, it's really only half the story...It explains kinda what Viagra does, but not really how it works. For that, we must think in terms of...flowers. To be specific, flower stems. The rigidity of flower stems is based strongly on water held in specially designed cell structures. The water is for the large part responsible for the strength of a flower's towering structure - the cell walls of the stem giving the water a framework: Picture water-filled bags, shaped like bricks, built into a tower. Withhold water, the cells no longer have sufficient strength to uphold the plant... and it...wilts.
Humans have tissues in certain bits in them that act the same way (cavemosal spaces in the corpora cavernosa). The blood flows in, fills the tissues, the tissues expand and firm up, and in doing so pinch off outgoing blood flow enough to make sure things don't... ebb for awhile. YES! Now, lets bring it home - Viagra acts like liquid plumber (by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase 5 [PDE5] enzyme), opening closed-down pipes to allow blood to fill those tissues that humans have in certain bits of them so they may no longer have a wilting flower! Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. For my next trick, I'll solve the unrest in the Middle East.
As they say in the commercials, "Viagra is not for everyone." In fact, it can be downright dangerous for some people, so don't just buy it from that funny little man on the street corner. If you take any nitrates, a dose of Viagra can drop your blood pressure right through the floorboards, and ruin your date, your day and possibly your future. Check it out with a Doc first, buddy. Gettin' down isn't supposed to mean six feet under.

DADDY'S LOVE
Her hair was up in a ponytail Her favourite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school, Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never see A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seats. One by one the teacher called, A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, For a man who wasn't there.
"Where's her daddy at?" She heard a boy call out. "She probably doesn't have one," Another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, "Looks like another deadbeat dad, Too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, Came words incredibly unique.
"My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, Since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, And how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, And taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him, I'm not standing here alone.
"Cause my daddy's always with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart" With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favourite dress.
And from somewhere in the crowd of dads, Her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand backdown Staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much, He's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far.
You see he was a fireman And died just this past year When airplanes hit the towers And taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes, It's like he never went away." And then she closed her eyes, And saw him there that day.
And to her mother's amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side.
"I know you're with me Daddy," To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose, And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, By the love of her shining bright star. And given the gift of believing, That heaven is never too far
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

I agree with Umesh, what does the poem posted by Monica, for instance, has to do with Valentines Day???

That is not my posting. If somebody wants to post something about Valentine's day, that is not bad. I can not understand, why people want to use others' name. Are they afraid to use their own name or they do not have any name or are ashamed of their name. God bless everybody and Happy Valentine's Day in advance.
