If you are getting married in the USA and he entered the country legally then you need to file forms I-130 inc. G-325A , I-485, I-864,I-765 & I-131 if applicable, and I-693. I think that's all of them. It is very stressful process (it was for me) and most of us had to figure it out ourselves, hence the nasty comments. But I hope the above helps you out a bit - Sod the negative posters!
To Nana: It is not clear from your post as to what is your Status and what is status of your wannabe husband. If one of you is USC then after marriage USC spouse will sponsor the other one by filing I-130 and related papers. Besides this the other spouse (alien) will file AOS I-485, EAD I-765 etc. You can download the whole marriage based package from www.bcis.gov or www.immigration.gov If sponsoring spouse is Green Card holder then only I-130 can be filed. In case alien spouse had entered legally in the United States then there will be no problem for AOS but if alien spouse had entered illegally then you will have to wait till 245(i) is extended. Good luck.
thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and guidance..to guest: he is not a ilegal alien, so save the only thing you know how to say and tell it to some one that wants to hear you spew tu madre a ching.. again thanks to all..

Nana, you've got a lot of good answers already! But you seem to be more interrested on wasting entire posts on bashing on "racists", yet, you didn't have any energy left to PROPERLY thank Umesh or the other poster...
Boy, people like you and with an uncontrolled temper like you, they make me re-consider some of the arguments "them racist" bring up...
