Explora I don't feel intimidated by her whatsoever. People who are nasty like her are a low life as far as I am concerned.
She looks down at people who are not educated as much as her or she 'presumes' people are not educated because of where they live, their culture or whatever..all because they don't agree with her or not in her circle.
I do admire anyone going to college and educated themselves but I do not admire those ones who think they are above the rest because of it.
It doesn't make someone who does a manual labor job any less intelligent then someone who has been to college, it doesn't make someone who didn't have those chances in life to get a higher education less knowledgeable than her for example either. Some people in fact have a higher education but end up doing something they are passionate about and that could be a manual labor job or even a career that doesn't need degrees for. That does not make them uneducated nor does it make them stupid.
Some people like me didn't have degrees or have that higher education but have experienced a lot first hand. Personally from my own experience, having been to 20+ countries, 30+ US States, lived/stayed with the real people of those countries/cultures or even been to the places that are not part of the usual tourist theme, has taught me far more than any book, degree on this earth.
Learning from the real people, real cultures, real living and learning the history from them, is more realistic than the text books. A lot of the factual stuff cannot be put into words or explained and you have to learn from the source itself.
In fact I learned way more by being side by side with the homeless, those who work hard and struggle in life to make ends meet and being around the people who actually are the real subjects of what she is reading. If she wants to see real American culture and really see what the needs of this country is, she needs to get out there and experience it or learn what its really about. Instead of lecturing everyone of what this country needs or what this country is doing wrong..she needs to know what she is talking about.
Do I feel intimidated by her? No, I'd rather have my experiences than having her education any day.Going by her personality, her nastiness, her stuck up attitude and her naivity on real life and people, I think I have accomplished way more than she has imo.
She puts down cowboys and alike, well imo they are worth 1000 x more than the likes than her..they at least have values, real hard workers and at the end of the day, what they do is accomplishing something that is worthwhile not only to them but to many of us.
She needs to see real life, real people, not take everything literally in what she reads. Maybe then she may get a personality and see there is more to life than politics and putting people down. She may be surprised to learn a thing or two as well.. reality!

Sure books can teach you things, they tell good stories and sometimes they reveal very peculiar facts worth learning about.
But a book won't give you character, and there's no way in hell you can draw it from some text, school or seminar. Character is formed by life, by the blows we take and how we manage to just get back on that horse and give it another try.
Sure thing, life ain't politics because most of politics is just lies, yeller talk and loads of BS. If you wanna live in a world covered with s-hit then sure, don't need to be a cowboy, just a politician!
I was raised by farmers and hardcore country folks, and I see no shame in that. I'm well too used to them insults and put downs, so hell, the reference to manure here and how it's stuck to me wasn't even enough to get me started. Intimidated by what, I ask? Intimidated by refried words from yesterday's Rachel Maddow's show? Please! Intimidated by senseless talk? Give me a buckin' horse or a Brahmer and I'll tell you about feeling your heart crawlin' behind the liver, but intimidated by a DUDE?
Yeah, that'll be a cold day in hell!
The cool part of being a cowboy is that you learn to deal with pain, you learn to improvise, overcome and adapt, you learn that life ain't always roses and chit happens! It forms character, the same character that has me here, posting this, and not six feet under. Get throwed? Yeah, it happens to the best of us but only the strong will get back on that pony and ride like hell again! And yeah, I said THROWED, big deal!
I'm a bad weed, tough to kill, and I'm here to buck trouble! So, my treat, bring it on and I'll just cinch a riggin on it and give it my best shot!
I thought I'd try a new signature since some seem to be a hit with the folks here....

Thank you Explora! But intimidated, I don't know about that. I don't mean to intimidate anyone or put anyone down, I just write my thoughts as they come. Some people seem to really hate me, but that's good, in a way, at least they are not indifferent to what I say. It is sad though that some of them misconstrue my intentions and twist my words. Like for example, I said that I read American literature because it was my major in college, and that allowed me to understand American culture, and history and its people. People's culture and life live in their literature. It is a great heritage to pass on. Hitler once said that to destroy a nation one needs to only destroy their culture- that is heritage, works of art, literature etc. Poland as a nation survived because of its culture and literature written during the 123 year long occupation and then throughout the two world wars and the Soviet occupation. Without the great polish national poets and writers, there would be no incentive to get up and up rise the people in three bloody uprisings. So having read ALL of American lit, I know its culture. And I never said that I derive all my life knowledge from books. I've been through tough time in my life that barely anybody here ever will. But the simple minds will twist, misconstrue, misunderstand in their pettiness and malicious attitude towards me. ****, say whateva you want, I don't care. You don't really know me, nor will I ever tell you anything. Waste of my time.

That explains it for me Houston. You can't get the cow s h i t out of a cow boy, no matter what.
How can I possibly twist this? Your words, not mine! How isn't that degrading? How isn't that offensive?
Now, YOU saddled this bronc, why don't you wanna ride it?
Boo Hoo Houston. Get over it, won't ya?
Ok, well, sorry. Shouldn't have said that. I was angry that such a bright intelligent man like you could be repeating all these lies about Obama, and believe it. Otherwise why would you say that?
Going back to your post about Wyoming, from yesterday. You know, there is a sweet little meadow, and a little brook running in the middle of it, surrounded by a grove of trees, with birds chirping, and little ladybugs, and the little 'latawce dmuchawce wiatr' flowers chasing the wind. It is a magical place far far away from here, thousands of miles away, and I am not there. It is a place you will never see, and you will never understand the depths of an immigrant soul, far away from that place.

Good, thanks for your apology, all I wanted from you!
Now, boo hoo to you! Get over that Obama thing, he's not your life specially when you're lucky enough to have an actual family there for you. Family, kids, life, that's what matters, not some stupid political campaign that will always be dominated by bull krap and stupidity, regardless of party affiliation!

One thing is passion, yet another obsession!
Happy trails!
Happy trails to you to. But I disagree about politics. This election is not an ordinary election, it is about YOUR country Houston, its future, its well being, its very existence. It's about the future of my children in this country, and yours. And the future of the world. Are you going to let that go wrong?

This country is everybody's country, that's what makes it beautiful and great!
While I agree that this election is important, I don't believe that an election will ever be more important than life itself, more important than family and more important than the people it will affect.

That's ironic Sprint and Houston. I was arguing yesterday that this country is everybody's, and Houston was claiming that it's only those who understand the Whyoming nature.. those who live in the very heart of America or deep south, the ones with "values". Republicans reject the Black community, Hispanics, minorities, immigrants, the list goes on. So the argument that America is everyone's country is MY argument, NOT yours. Republicans don't understand what America is about. Democrats do.
Bye now, and end this nonsense both of you.

You were arguing that the nation belongs only to the educated, high class democrats! This country DOES NOT belong to Obama, Rachel Maddow, or Tom Hartman, it belongs to everybody, not just the democrats!
And this has never been about Democrats or Obama, you have made it so, but nobody could expect anything different from you since you're obsessed with this whole election thing!

No he wasn't, he was standing up for an honest way of life which you clearly was putting down and making out you understand something that you cannot possibly comprehend. Then you insult him and those around him by saying you do know because you read certain books.
Let me show a quote from you here:
quote:
By being nasty to those who don't understand their own culture? Now, that's peculiar. If you think Davdah or Hudson, or S12, etc. understand what America is about, then clear it up for me please. I am nasty because I don't want such people to live in the new country I made my home in. I refuse to accept that there are stupid undecated people like all that trash posting here. I reject them, and their stupidity. Their ignorance and narrow mindedness is what infurates me. BECAUSE I love this country Houston!
Now S12 even though he is an arrogant person and likes to bully immigrants, we don't know really much about him so can't comment. However Davdah and Hudson do know their culture and know what America is about way more than you do! Just because you don't like what they say or because they don't agree with you and not to forget that you love to fight with them over anything, does not make them stupid or uneducated.
Now you say its everyone's country yet you don't want certain people in this country..why? Because if it was up to you, you would chose only those that agree with everything you say and dictate to everybody what should be done and how this country should be run.
You LOVE this country?? Ever since I have known you, you have done nothing but put this country down and its citizens. They are fat, they are lazy, they are stupid, they are uneducated, their food his krap, they all have big as-ses, they are white trailor trash, everything ****s here in the US, including the education system according to you, yet you came here and studied what you know now.. should I go on??
Is there anything about this country that is good, except Hillary when you were obsessed with her and now Obama? You always put down this country and said once that when you go back to Poland you might not come back..so why return if its so bad here?
You are nothing but a dictator, a political nut that can't even vote, and really don't know what values and reality is.
Go ahead..call me names again like you did before..what was it...because I am near homeless I am nothing but a s-kunk girl? , call me and all the women on here sl-uts, call me a liar about the abuse I had, call me and put me down as you like because you don't know the meaning of reality and don't know what compassion towards people is, you are nothing but nasty when you can't get your own way or if someone disagrees with you.
One last thing.. You call all the people narrow minded when in reality you cannot accept or tolerate another person's point of view.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- God Bless America - God Bless Immigrants - God Bless Poor Misguided Souls Too Mr S.U.
I got news for you iPerson, I'm not gonna go away, I don't know how to quit, I don't feel intimidated by a dude like yourself!
You claim you know cowboys and Wyoming when in reality you know jack! This is not about you and the books you read, not about Obama or Clinton or any other person you happen to idolize at the moment, it's about you yapping about things you simply do not know.
I've never opened my mouth about Poland and I'm not about to, but you keep your nose out of Wyoming and you better start showing some respect for the nation that offered you a home where you can live, work and open your mouth about any possible issue you can imagine.
You can comment on the issues and show your disagreement, that's what we're all here for, but respect doesn't impair reason. You better learn that before you turn into one of those "nasty" ones you seem to talk about so darn much. Or maybe it's already too late for you?
If you think the only way to start a day is by "sipping a latte" then you're dead wrong! I love my black coffee and I don't have to pay $5 for some nasty peace of krap just to pretend I belong to some "elitist" crowd. I love the simple things in life and I don't give a darn if you understand that or not!
I will not let you put the cowboy down, and if you think you can get away with it by quoting your talk shows and trying to turn this into some political issue then let me tell you you're wrong! This is about YOU talking about things you can't understand and demeaning people based on how many degrees they have!
