Cman,
Sorry for my late reply, But congrats on your approval. You should receive your biometrics appt within 6 weeks after you receive your receipt from USCIS on your I-485 and I-765. Hope this helps.

Hudson: somehow I had a feeling she's korean (your avatar)...maybe because I'm obsessed with everything that's korean! Smile I'm even thinking about applying to a Korean university in Korea for my PhD program! R*** I wanna learn korean..I can only read and write...but don't speak it...just basic questions...Frown

Hey Jasmin,
Korea has some really good universities. As for learning to speak, get yourself a conversation partner and spend about an hour a day, like over lunch, and speak only Korean. or this site might help you as well.

As for my wife and me, we are getting into some of the Korean drama series like "My Lovely Samsoon," "Coffee Prince," "Dae Jo Yeong," and "Jewel in the Palace," among others. Tend to find the story lines much more complex, a familiar humor, and, for the most part, interesting. Have you seen any Korean Drama series?

Japanese horror flicks can be really gory, psychotic, and the ultimate suspense thriller, but alas, those movies are not my cup of tea. Historical dramas, not to mention war and Westerns are my favorites movie genres. My wife, of course, likes romantic comedies. "Taegukgi hwinalrimyeo" should be a movie you might like. It is the Korean version of "Saving Private Ryan." check it out.

Hi Jeanine and Hudson,

Just to join your Korean theme, the Korean drama series "Jewel in the Palace" has also taken my first home country by storm. People are trying to get home early just to catch it - if I remember it correctly, it's shown early evening. It's nice, shows family values and gives you a glimpse of Korean culture. Smile

Hudson, I really do like your avatar, very colorful and she is not only pretty but natural if you know what I mean.

Japanese horror flicks, not my cuppa tea either. Never seen a Korean film I don't think. Curious now though. Smile

Hey Hudson,

Awe, I guess I missed all those drama series....I would love to learn Korean, but I don't speak it at all, so those lunch time would be quiet boring with my future conversation partner. Frown Also, I just don't know how I could ask a korean if they are willing to teach me....:/ But I'll check that site out you mentioned, and I'll try hard to learn the language....that's my big big future goal for a long time now. As for the universities...so far those I've checked, they all say I have to know at least an intermediate korean, even though the courses would be thaught in english....:x I have two really good friends of whom I met over high school, but they were in the US for only a year or two, and left back to Korea, so I can't speak with them anymore, and I'm glad if we can exchange letters once a month...Frown

Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.

Hi Hudson thank you. My lawyer said i won't be doing they I-765 thing cuz he's gonna ask for the final hearing on Monday and on that hearing the Judge will be doing the green card adjudication so he said no need for the I-765 if the green card is granted then i gotta go to the local office with the Judge's order and they will process the card but he will file the I-485 next week with the court so i can get my biometrics done.
