Self indulgence only leads to selfishness, which in turn leads to greed and doing wrong. If you can give up that, the world can be a much better place to live. No top dogs acting weirdly and playing dirty games. It is all in the mind. Take control, be in charge, and you shall see the results.

The power which a man's imagination has over his body to heal it or make it sick is a force which none of us are born without. The first man had it; the last one will possess it.

If you're referring to Bill Gates, I think you need to look at his charitable work. The man is a huge philanthropist. He was specially invited to the Live 8 series of concerts for his work in helping to eliminate poverty in Africa.

Ok computer techs here, need some help please.

I can only open one page or tab at a time (firefox).

When I try opening a new page or tab all it does it load..and load..and load grrrr

The only time it will work is if I click on a link, say from here for example, that takes me directly to a site (but only to that page), but other than that I can't load anything. Frown
I am also having probs on IE, even though I don't really use it.

Where should I look and what should I do to fix this?

Too much **** running on your computer. The memory is probably used up. On the bottom right of the screen (next to the clock) is a listing of programs running. Right click on those that don't need to be operating and select exit. That will free up some memory. More than likely you have a lot of spyware running in the background. Talk to your son about the sites he visits. Wink

Even though you have lots of memory it could be filled up with all kinds of garbage running in the background.

I had something similar and it was due to loads of spyware running. Try this. Have the browser running and bring up a page. Minimize it. Click on firefox again, new instance. Does it come up?

If it does then it could be how its set up. If you get nothing then you are being spyed on.

Shut the computer down. On restart let everything come up. Then, go to the area in the bottom right next to the clock. If needed click that little << to show all the programs running. Right click on each of them and select exit. That will free up some memory. Try the browser with multiple windows. If it still doesn't work it could be the browser is hosed. Re-download it and reinstall after removing it.

Mad Done all that..still not working.

I can only load another tab when I click on a bookmark, but once I try and log in, like yahoo mail for example, it won't do anything but try to load.

I don't have any icons in lower right corner other than the normal ones.

Looks like I can't multitask until I get this sorted.

You uninstalled firefox and re-downloaded it and installed it again and it still does this?

You may have a nasty virus or something along those lines.

Here is something else to try. Shut the computer down again. Before turning it back on disconnect the internet cable from the computer. Watch how the computer starts. See if anything strange happens. If there is something on there that should not be it may do something to expose itself when there is no internet available.

It crashed..I don't have the patience right now, I guess I will try and uninstall and reinstall again and uninstall spyware in case its that.
I have hijacked my son's computer for the time being.

I seem to be having problems with anything technical or electrical lately. My cell has gone crazy amongst other things, maybe I have some weird static power that causes this lol

Thanks Davdah.
