Taking the batteries out will stop it from turning on. Well, I should say it should. If something comes on then you better run. It could mean a bolt of lightening is about to strike and will be passing through your house. You would probably be able to feel it before it happens though. Kind of like the affect from static electricity as it is building up. But, you won't have much time. A couple seconds at most.

The reason the toys come on is the switch is being activated by the negative charge coming from the ground. The batteries are still running it though.

You voted democrat. This country is not worth sneaking into any more.

OK then..so it does have a definite scientific reason ..phew. Smile

It only happens when the lightening strikes close, and this morning it really was close..we saw it come down..it kind of blinded us. I ran into the closet LMAO Even my son was somewhat scared and he loves this kind of thing. Too close to home I guess.

Son on way home now, so I will get him to take out all batteries from everything in house. Smile

LMAO..We do have buffalo here lol

I just saw something really funny..couldn't stop laughing..cruel I know but funny all the same.

My son's History teacher rang last night and asked my son if he wants to join him and a few other students on a bike ride along the river.

My son jumped to the chance and off he went. Now keep in mind he hasn't ridden his bike on a long run for over a year.

He rode for over 30 miles. He just walked in, looking like he just rode a horse, stiff..and butt very sore. LMAO! It was a funny sight lol
