Thanks OldE. I remember Modern Talking but I don't remember that song. If you like those kind of "issue" videos, take a look at the this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMkZZ3cpqx8&feature=related

One of the best of the 80s I think. Great song and great video. The editor did a good job as did MJ.

You are welcome.
Who told you I like "those kind of issues"? Big Grin

I used to like MJ when I was 8, but nowdays am more into hardcore Scooter and not anything remotely resembling MJ Big Grin

Did you check the Pirates of Carribean Remix?
I like it too! Cool

A very good Wednesday to all!

Jake, I got also one 'old but good' and touching story. It will take just 37 seconds to read this that may change one's thinking.

The Other Man

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats.

Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band, he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window.

The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She added, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Yeah it was ok, just didn't do much for me. The movie itself wasn't bad tho.

Yes, maybe that's the answer. Smile Hope you are enjoying your day! I am enjoying the sunshine while it lasts - more rain predicted for tonight and tomorrow - ugh!

Hi Proud. It's gone all cloudy n' overcast here today, warm tho but rain on the way in later. I had a screwed up night last night. The airplane here went down for maintanence and I couldn't fly out at the usual time. So I had to repo at 3am instead. Get out there at 3am only to find the original fault was still a problem so no flight last night. it happens once in a while.

Hey Brit,

Sorry to hear about the flight problems last night. Are you good to go tonight? Where you off to? Do you always fly the same routes? Sounds like an exciting job - better than the desk job I have - lol!!!! Except, me and airplanes don't get along very well. Smile

Remix is cool, Brit Cool

RN, that's very touching story.
Kind of reminds me quote by Dali:

What is a television apparatus to man, who has only to shut his eyes to see the most inaccessible regions of the seen and the never seen, who has only to imagine in order to pierce through walls and cause all the planetary Baghdads of his dreams to rise from the dust.

Hey Speed!

Just catching up here after lunch. No worries - I am not going to let this forum get me down. It just bothers me when the whole board gets inundated with worthless posts.

Did you take a close look at the Chili recipe? Lol - it will feed an army!!! 6 lbs of ground beef! I printed it down this AM and said 'WOW - that's alot of chili'!!!

No one booted from AI yet, Speed. That will happen tonight. My bet is Syeisha will get the boot. Not because she deserves it, but she's been in the bottom a number of times before.

You're right, buddy. Hey, E, is this another 'welcome back' or it's me who's not being around much?

As far as I know, I am. They bought in a plane from Indy this am to cover me so that might be my plane tonight unless they get the original problem fixed finally on the plane that was here. I'm flying the Erie-Cleveland run this week. Next week it's Baltimore-Newark...yuk 'cos that's a thru the night one unlike this split-shift one.

Go fly a desk Proud Wink
