Proud it's real easy for a US citizen to become a resident Trinidad at least...a US citizen can stay up to 6 months without a visa i think.

That's nice to know, Caribbeanman. I could never totally renounce my US citizenship, but it would be nice to have a 'winter' home down in the islands. Thanks for your 'tour' guide offer. I'll need it because I haven't been to Trinidad yet. Take care & have a great day!!!

Actually, I would prefer US Virgin Islands. You can even get a tax break because the Virgin Ilands tax their income at a flat 10$. No visa, just a resident and stay more than 6 months.

U.S. Virgin Islands are great - been there many times, but it's a bit pricey in my opinion. I need to find something a bit more reasonable.
