Well, what can you expect at the age of 73? Everyone has to get old sometime. At least she isn't a plastic surgeon junkie, like so many other Hollywood types! I applaud her!

Good Morning there Proud! Smile

I totally agree with you, not many actresses age with grace, well done to her Smile

So did you catch some big ones then? Sounds like you had fun. Did you wear that mini skirt? lol

Went on a chartered trip few years back in South Padre Island, Tx, and caught a little shark! well actually didn't catch it, as we had to let it go due to a boat was only allowed to catch so many a day or a week or something like that and this one meant they were over the limit.
I think it would have got away anyway as it was too heavy to bring up on board. Scared me somewhat but felt proud that I caught the most interesting fish of the day lol

So did you eat fish last night? lol

Yep I ended up playing in the end after being persuaded to. Owner kitted me out in camo gear and chest protection lol
Loads of fun, a blast, but suffering for it now lol
Stiff, aching and strained my ankle. But it was all worth it, son and friends had a really good day and thought I was really cool participating Smile
Got hit once in neck and once in arm other than that I was last man standing...see a woman can be just as good! lol

Hey Sprint! Smile

As far as the fish, we caught a few very big ones - 40 inches!!! These are striped bass, which were close to extinction in the Chesapeake Bay some years back. They placed many restrictions on what time of the year you can fish for them, how many you can keep, and how big they need to be. You are only allowed to keep one fish per person and they must be over 28 inches long (I was lucky the one I caught didn't measure up - lol). I gladly placed him back in the water. I left the mini skirt at home as there was lots of bending over yesterday - lol - and I was with 10 men!

So, you caught a shark? Cool. I caught a sand shark many years ago in Cape Hatteras when I was surf casting on the beach. A bit scarey since it was right after the movie Jaws was release.

I didn't bring any fish back for us. I'm not too fond of it - only shellfish and flounder.

Glad you played with the kids. Sounds like you had some fun. How many of them did you hit?? And you won? Way to go! Yes, we can be just as good or better - lol! Hope your aches and pains are soon gone. Smile

Sounds like fun Proud! lol
I saw a documentary about the stripe Bass only the other day. Not sure how old the doc was but it was all about the Bass being infected and dying unusually. Poor Bass had these red scales and more fishermen were finding more and more dead or infected fish.

It turned out that it was the polution of plastic in the Chesapeake Bay and the waters around it amongst other things like oil being washed down to the water.
Birds too were found dead and when they opened them up they found loads of plastic in the bellies.
There was this place in the ocean..can't remember the name..boats don't cross it, instead they go long way around it, because it is like a swirl (like a toilet bowl flusing) due to the current, ..anyway this one guy in a boat decided to take a short cut through it and found in the middle of this circle in the ocean, nothing but plastic.
So they found the culprit of why the Bass and birds were dying or getting this infection from the toxic polution.
It explained that they were worried about the Bass and how this will affect fishing and so on and of course the population of the Bass in the future.

Did you hear about that?

Jaws lol It reminded me of it too I can tell you! lol
On that same trip going out, we had the beautiful sight of dolphins swimming beside us, they were so cute and a joy to watch.

I hit loads of guys Proud! LOL
The one that attacked my son and sprayed him with a load of hits and gave poor son 10 large red swollen welts, well there was revenge on the horizon lol Son said..please mum get him for me as my son stood down from playing as he was too sore.

This guy was full of it, so next game my eyes were on him lol
I shot him..he was out within 5 mins, and later he said..good shot! The guys laughed and it turned out I shot him right between legs lmao
I was aiming for the legs really but you couldn't see where it would hit as they are some distance away, but it made my day! LOL
It was ok, he was padded there so no damage done lol

The guys were full of adrenaline, trigger happy but not good at sniping lol
I kept quiet..sneaked my way through, and waited for my moment..women are clever hey LOL

I felt young again! lol Haven't done it for years and still loads of fun.

There was a significant problem in the Chesapeake Bay with plastic and industrial waste being dumped (or washing downstream) into it. They have spent a lot of time, money and effort with a project called Save the Bay. I think they still have a long way to go, but things have improved. The water appeared pretty clear yesterday - alot clearer than what I'm used to in the Potomac - lol!

I'm glad you came to your son's rescue - lol! You are a good shot, Sprint!!!! What did the kid do when you hit him between the legs? lmao - sounds like he deserved it since he was so full of himself. Glad you had alot of fun. It's great to feel young again!

Proud,
May 2nd weekend forcast in DFW is partly sunny to sunny with highs in the lower 80's and the lows in the lower 60's. Can't help you between your area and mine.

The weather sounds yummy, Hudson! Do you know any really good barbeque places in the Arlington area? I need recommendations because we are coming to Texas for the barbeque, not the wedding - lol!!! Smile

If it the groom was smart enough, the food would be BBQ lol.

Actually, there are two places: Colter's BBQ and Spring Creek BBQ. I am also assuming no Chinese BBQ?

We're not invited to the rehearsal dinner, so we're on our own Friday night (the wedding is Saturday). I'm looking for some good barbeque and a place to ride a mechanical bull - lol!!! Yeehaw!

I've never eaten duck, Hudson. I'm not sure I can. I just eat the regular stuff - like chicken, beef, pork.

BBQ Duck tastes like a combo of chicken and turkey. But First Chinese BBQ is Americanized and is a good place to eat. Or you can try Dim Sum, finger foods.

You won't even passed the first level of ESL class. It appears you might be joining me in first grade dear with your own deficient vocabulary and language usage.

Passed is past tense! pass would be the correct form of this word to use in this sentence. Big Grin
i liked the first grade! wish you were there Spit Ba lls were fun!! Big Grin

here is a better way to write that : you would not even pass the first level of ESL class.
