@Sprint: hi!!! How's your life going? Anything new and exciting? Sorry, but I'm jsut a slacker, and don't want to read all the 122 pages that I missed....and as you see I'm to "passive" in this forum to join conversations...:x Well, I'd better get back to study, have a huuuuuuuge exam in May. I know, I know I'm a nerd starting already....
@Baby: hello! Good to see you around! Smile

Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.

Hey Sprint (and everyone else),

Lol - you're apologizing for going to sleep at a normal bedtime! You have changed to Mike's timezone, Sprint. I don't know how you guys carry on all night! I would be sleeping on the keyboard. Anyway, hope to to you around sometime today! Take care!! Smile

Hi Jeanine!..No doesn't mean you are a nerd lol..just means you are taking it seriously and I am sure you are going to do well Smile

Hi Proud, my timezone is mixed up, not sure which one I am in anymore lol
The thing is because I fell asleep, waking up middle of night didn't help me this morning when I went to church, I was tired by noon lol

I have some good news Smile
I had a lovely surprise from some people from my church this morning. Someone approached me and asked if I was around at 2pm today. She said a bunch of people who have been helping the neighborhood with clearing up the debris from the ice-storm have finished and wanted to come out to my land with chain saws etc to help clear up mine Smile

So a load of people with chainsaws, wheel barrows and a trailer came out this afternoon and we have just finished. Luckily they had some free dump passes in city so managed to get rid of a load, saving me having to burn it all.

Wow it looks so much better, still have a load to take to the dump and got to stack more wood up but I am so grateful to them all for all their hard work and kindness.

Now we can mow the land! well my son is excited, he loves going on the ride on mower..thinks its a race track lol

Maybe this is pay it forward, as my son and I spent a lot of time clearing up the church's new land last summer where they are going to build a new one and that was one hard job I can tell you, so maybe this is one good deed passed back Smile
Made me feel good and it's so nice not to see a tree mortuary out there now lol

This is what I call great community spirit, and I am so grateful to live in a really nice one Smile

Hey Sprint,

I'm so happy to hear you got some help with the debris clean up. That was so nice of the people at your church. One more problem almost solved, right? We just have to keep chipping away at them one by one!!!

I got a work out myself on Thursday - pulling weeks, trimming the yard and mowing the grass (no riding mower here - lol). I thought I would collapse of a heart attack when I was finished - lol! Time to get back on the treadmill to get in shape! Smile

You are truly blessed to live in such a nice community!!!

I Know You cant see me anymore Sprint Panda Girl. But It sounds Like a really nice Community. You are definitely In a Place Of Old World/American Values, a place Of true Americans!

NICE!

P.S. I Still Wish I knew/Understand The Complete Story? Why Someone That possibly Created The Place You Now Reside Suddenly Winds Up In American Prison? was His life/Dreams Somehow Disrupted? And Why It Couldn't Be Resolved Outside Of The system??? Getting Into the American Judicial System Damages All Lives, And the children's Lives! was he really That Bad?

I can see you Dcw, and yes I am lucky to be in a truly nice community, they have done so much for me and my son, they keep looking out for us Smile
Very hard to find these days, and yes true Americans.
In fact some of the people here are Native Indians, they have deep values and look out for each other when in need, great people.

WOWY!!!! You see me???
Awesome! Native Indians, Yes I Have native Indian friends from Mohawk tribe, Others too. deep Down values are good! I Am Soooo very Happy For You to live In a Place That Is, and Lives AMERICA!

You must Be Upper Midwest. maybe Close To Minnesota.

Enjoy The People and lifestyle That Most Americans No longer Have.

Sounds Like Great Place! Wink

Believe it or not. I Have great respect for your ability and desire To Cohabitate/Mingle with so Many Others Here in America. It really Does Make a Difference! I Still Question whether Or not The other Had To Lose and Be Put Into Our System Here? really no Other Choice? Most Americans Know our System Is Flawed and Avoid It at All cost! No other Solution??? communication/Negotiation Really That bad???

Sorry Proud nearly missed your post.

Yes I feel blessed, very lucky to live here, the community have really shown me what values are Smile

Oh dear no ride on? No way could we not use one here too much land to mow. Last year when ride on broke down we used the small one, it was so hard, took so long and killed us! lol
Never again.

Ride on broke down other day but one of the men looked at it and fixed it too! Smile
I have had a great day with nice things happening.

I need to go back on my treadmill too Proud, after today I have realised how unfit I am! lol
I think the winter months make you lazier as less to do outside, but now with nicer weather to come, looks like I'll be spending it working hard out there. Got to get some mozzie repellant quickly before I do though lol

Flowerbed looks sorry for itself..the few bulbs that came up, the storms got them the other day. I need to do some work on it, miss seeing bright flowers up front.

I guess it will keep me out of trouble lol

Hi Sprint,

In this day and time, you should consider yourself very blessed. Times are quite different than they used to be. People tend to be more selfish and keep to themselves - at least where I live. That's great you have a support system out there!

No, I don't have a riding mower, but not too much land to mow either. I'm thankful mine is self-propelled - lol! If not, I would have needed many breaks! It's nearly time to plant flowers here. We normally wait until after Mother's Day since the danger of frost is pretty much gone by then. I still need to get mulch too - ugh. Last year, the mulch I got came loaded with bees!!!!! I had to spray myself with Cutter to keep them away - lol! I probably looked pretty funny to the neighbors flailing my arms at all those bees - lol!

It's alot of work, but worth it when you get to watch all the pretty flowers bloom!

Hi DC,

There are many transient people in our area - alot due to all the military posts and government jobs. I think that plays a part in why people are not as social and friendly as in the past. They move around, don't plant roots so probably see no point in wasting time socializing with others. I'm not one of those people. I've been in the DC area all my life, but this is my observation.

Now, please tell me where all these American Indians are - lol! They are in Virginia, but not near us!
