How long did it take to receive your first answer back on the I-601 from the Embassy?

This is a great question. Who are you addressing it to?? I'd like to know the answer myself. I think I may be in a similar situation soon.

Hi. We sent the I-601 in in March. They told us that we should expect to wait about a year before receiving a response, however I have heard from other people on this board that SOMETIMES it takes less time and I have heard from the embassy that SOMETIMES it takes longer.

All I can do is hope and pray that we will receive a postive response asap... but in all reality I would rather wait a little longer for a positive response, than receive a negative response earlier....

I will definitely let this board know when we get some news!

Is the first reply for the fingerprints or the interview? I had heard they call or send a letter pretty quick for the fingerprints?
