I have an enormous backlog! I am prioritizing the easy tasks for now, and will edit this particular post as a reminder, both to me, and to the board, for the few things which I will come back to once the easier items are out of the way.
I understand your workload, Sam. But for the very first time, I would want to propose one Discussion Board feature. No post older than, say, 10 minutes should be allowed by the system to be "deleted" - should only be allowed to be "edited" or "revised." I just did it awhile back and it happened without any problem or trace.

Welcome back Sam. I thought you'd never come back. You missed a LOT.
I have a suggestion. On other boards when a post violates any of the rules, it is deleted. So that it doesn't give an example for others. When someone outside or new sees a post like that, and it sticks, they assume it is allowed to use foul language. I think that makes sense.

I post exclusively from this account (Sam U of ILW.COM) and visit exclusively from the same account. The only other account of ILW.COM on this board is the webmaster@ilw.com account, which is the admin account for the board. Our tech guru is often on the board for tech issues unrelated to the content of this board. He does NOT do any moderation. So, if you see the webmaster@ilw.com present on the board posting or otherwise present, that does NOT mean that I am here. Another point of clarification: the admin account posts the Immigrant's Weekly and other routine announcements on the board also, and again, that's not me. - Sam.
