someone please help me understand this one; This chap goes to his second interview with his wife and lawyer. The confusion then starts. First the lawyer is kicked out for not having a retainer. Then the couple is separated. The next thing as far as the chap is concerned his wife is signing papers withdrawing the petition. Shortly after, the chap is cuffed and taken to a county jail and bail is set at $15,000. Master hearing set for feb next year. The wife was not detained. Has anyone heard of such a thing?
This case smells appeal all the way to the supremes! Talk about intimidation by an officer of the law. Has INS become like the IRS of the 90s or what?
I confess I don't have all the graphic details but still the case smells like horse manure!
Doubtful that he would of been arrested with a bail of $15,000 for no reason. I have to say in this case, it smells fishy. I also don't imagine that USCIS would take this action unless there was reason to. I'd say this guy's in deep sh!te.
