Hello.

I am an F1 student who graduated in May of this year. I am in the US now on my 1-year OPT, which expires in July 2008. My fiance (US citizen) and I are planning a wedding now and getting married in April 2008. We're planning on submitting my green card documentation right after that. We will of course hire legal help but just to run this by you at this initial stage, we need the following, right?

- I-130
- I-765
- I- 485
- I-864
- G-325A

Now, when I apply for advanced parole so that we can travel outside the USA while the application is pending, and when I'm returning to the USA, what entry documents do I need to have? I don't need an entry visa, do I? I suppose a receipt of pending green card application would suffice or not?

Finally, do any of you have an idea how much attorney fees might be for a straightforward case like this one? We live in Chicago.

Thanks greatly and please accept my apologies if I'm asking questions that have probably been asked numerous times here. I appreciate your time and help.

To return to the USA while your aplication for adjustment of status is pending you need: Advance Parole document and valid passport.

besides all the documentation you listed, you will also need (if using an attorney)

$5000.....(for about 20 minutes of his/her "work")

Hi Matza: yes, indeed, your case looks straightforward, what do you need an attorney for then? We can walk you through in completing all the necessary paperwork right here, free of charge.

Hi S12: I thought you don't have any problems with those who are doing it right and playing by the rules.

Know what? I have this for you, please repeat after me........

God (however I perceive YOU to be), grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference!' Amen!

"The letter of the law is a sword that killeth; its intent is a spirit that giveth life." (Justice Holmes on 3 Cor 3:6)
