iperson, I'm glad there's another one who shares my view on war and the kind of US foreign policy we have. Do you know that Bush and the US are hoping Cuba's Castro to die quickly? It's the only way to get rid of him. The US has long been waiting for this chance. Expect unrest and actions against the Cuban government soon. Many US troops have just been withdrawn (or kicked out) from Okinawa. The US is now eyeing the Philippines, a very close US ally under another corrupt leader President Arroyo. In fact, the US troops are now in Southern Philippines where the Muslim rebels are located. The US troops are disguised as humanitarian and medical mission group.

As an American, I hate to see our s h i t in every part of the world: From Middle East, to Latin America, Africa and Asia. It's high time we review our foreign policy and stop being the number one bully of the world.

They just follow blind loyalty to the government and country at the expense of the general welfare of the world. Prof was correct in saying that as long as no American blood is wasted, America doesn't care how many foreigners get killed. Do we have to wait for another tragic incident seeing many Americans get killed to be serious again in working for peace and termination of violence?

US is a Republic which is governed by Constitution and has, like any existing State, it's own National Interests abroad.

It's nowhere in US Constitution said that US must sacrifice it's own National Interests for that of other Nations, and if it did it would be counter-logical and it would invite disaster and self-destruction of the State.

What good could ever come from that?

If you don't pretend and are really thAt stupid not to grasp such simple concepts, then I would suggest you to get some education and understAnd that what you are saying here is counterproductive and is aimed against US National Interests and , by default, against both United States itself and People of this Country.

What national interest? Why does not the US also respect the national interest of other countries? Prof was more detailed in his explanation why the US is directly and indirectly engaged into the Middle East conflict. It's the powerful and influential Jews in America. It's all about controlling the region. It's all about oil. That's the national interest you're talking about.

Take note that as we write and argue about the Lebanon crisis, Israel is not only bombing the infrastractures but also historical sites that must be preserved. The same acts committed by the US when she attacked Iraq.
