U.S. citizen sometimes doesn't really care no matter what you are illegal or legal immigrants that who wanting to get job. THEY SAY YOU WANT JOB YOU WILL HAVE YOU DON'T WANT YOU HAVE NO CASH". citizen really wanting to hire people and paying for a cash just because they can pay lower.

I know a lot of people who are from Mexico and work illegaly. Most of them have fake green cards and fake social security cards. Most employers do ask for these, but even if they know that they're probably fake, they don't care, and to ask if they're real would be discrimination, because if they really are real, the person would probably get angry and think that they were being stereotyped for having a hispanic sirname, foreign accent, etc. The truth is that fake green cards are very easy to obtain. I know someone who payed 100.00 for a fake green card and social security card. He get's a real check and taxes are taken out. He cannot file for tax return with his fake Social Security number, but nobody cares. The employer can't get in trouble because he can say that he didn't know it was fake. People prefer foreigners to work for them because they will take jobs that American teenagers do and do them much better for the same price.

America needs Illegal Aliens.With out them America will be parlized. who wii cut the gross without them, who will do the dish washing? all stores will be closed with out them.

I hope one day all Illegals become legal and pay the Taxes.why politicians are not thinking about Illegas to make Leagal. If 15 million peope pay Taxes america will become RICH.

A poster above said an employer can say they didn't know a card was fake and not get in trouble. Not entirely true. You are right, it is viewed by the government as discrimination to ask if a card is real. And what applicant is going to say no? But all employers are expected to confirm SSNs, and there are so many ways to tell if an RA or green card is fake. If we hire someone whose cards contain obvious errors, yes, we can get in a world of trouble! Unfortunately these cards are easy to obtain, and a lot of them look genuine. Keep in mind, though, that not all jobs held by illegals involve digging ditches, washing ditches, or replacing teenagers. There are a lot of very high-paying jobs in construction alone held by immigrants, and recently in S.C. about three dozen illegals were busted on a construction site. And from what I have seen and been told by my Hispanic coworkers and friends, they don't pay taxes and not file returns: they claim a high number of dependents and just don't file. All they miss out on is their Social Security, which with 10 dependents isn't much.

So Mark, if you want the illegals to be successful, why not give one of them YOUR job?????Go ahead, show our readers just how generous you are......well, I guess maybe you are not that generous...please explain to the readership at large why illegals should be able to live and work in the US....don't forget to mention border controls, the sovereignty of a nation, etc....I know that this may require some big words, with more than one syllable, but do your best.

What I learned over the years is that everything has a positive as well as a negative side. Can you think of any positive impact of illegals? If not, then there is something wrong in your thinking process, because we know there is nothing 100% bad or 100% good.

How many Americans are willing to do the jobs mentioned above? Why would anyone sane hire an illegal if he/she can pay the same rate and find a fellow American to do the job equally well? True if the pay is high enough there's someone for any job. But then how many Americans are willing pay at that level? Say, instead of $30 to have your lawn mowed, it's $80 or $100, or your hotel bill was 30% higher because the maids are paid a lot more, or the strawberry in your local grocery store was $6.99 rather than $1.99 these days?

When we talk about illegal aliens, most people act like it's a problem they have the perfect recipe for. Yes you do, if you really want illegals out of here, start with yourself, don't hire anyone at $30 to mow your lawn, refuse to have your room cleaned next time you travel, don't buy fruits and veggies at your local store, and a lot more, because these are the very activities that keep illegals in this country.

Then We blame the greed of businesses, particularly large companies for keeping illegal aliens here and moving jobs overseas because they care nothing but profits. Who are businesses by the way? Only a handful of blood sucking capitalists? No, it's you and me working as employees, and again it's you and me as shareholders (more than half of the households in the US own stocks and most retirement funds are invested in stocks and bonds). So what you think? Let's kick them out, let's keep our jobs, let's bankrupt our businesses, let's starve ourselves.

The bottomline is, we have become too rich and too lazy, so let the rest of the world work for us, here or overseas, there are some pains come with it (again everything has two sides), but it's far better than dragging our lazy asses off the couch and do the work ourselves. If you disagree, that's fine, just start with yourselves as I suggested above and see how you like it.

Linda. A lot of them claim ten dependents, true. But what's the big deal? They cannot get unemployment or social security anyway, so why shouldn't they pay as little as they can toward those things? No, an employer cannot get in trouble if a person presents a social security card and green card. If the green card is fake, there is no way that the employer can know. To investigate one employees work authorization further than another's would be racial profiling. If an employer suspects that his 30 year old, dark complected diswasher with a thick Mexican accent and a name like Virgilio Cervantes de la Torre is not really authorized to work, then he is obligated to hold the same suspisions about the blond 17 year old Jennifer Smith who's working as a waitress everyday after school. What's more, Virgilio will do a much better job than Jennifer or any of her frat-boy co-workers, since he is a full grown man and has a family to suppor and the others just want money for beer or to buy a car or get the latest fashions or whatever.

Facts are illegal aliens depress the wages and make many job undesirabl for American citizens.Those who do pay tax's don't pay their fair share in tax's. One of the number one causes of the financial state of California today is because of illegal immigration.
But the worse part of illegals from Mexico working in restaurants, etc. is their lack of personal hygien, not washing their hands after taking a dump them in the restrooms and not washing their hands and then returning to the kitchen and handling the food.90% of what is thought to be food poisoning from a restaurant is actualy one consuming food that has been contaminated by feces from the workers in the restaurants.

It is always interesting to me that people are so up in arms about the illegals working here but are willing to passively accept large scale outsourcing of manufacturing and services by US companies to forign shores. This has a much greater impact than the mexican gardners and farm workers and waiters.
