How can I as an H1/B visa holder setup a business entity so that I can draw money from a business that I intend to run and own.

Are the statements shown below true?
I was informed that :-
- I could not draw a salary from my own business
- I cannot be paid on a 1099 basis and that I cannot be work for my own business.

Can my business operate as a corporation and can I draw earnings as dividends from the company on a quarterly or monthly basis?
