Then what about the legal immigrants who choose to follow the legal procedures and suffer because of it, while the illegals make a mockery of the very same law. Through reading your post I do not think that it is fair for some people who come here illigaly be able to stay. I know that your have married her and that the two of you have a life but what is this going to do for other people who have loved ones that are being deported for things that happened years ago and have changed there life and what not and then they say you need to leave is that fair
I understand you're upset because of your personal experience but don't mix things that don't belong together. The provisions and special considerations for immediate relatives were designed decades ago when Congress acted based upon the observation of reality and adjusted INA accordingly. What you're experiencing though is the result of the new trend in immigration legislation, a trend that ignores reality with a restrictionist approach resulting directly in the exponential increase of illegal immigration.

My friend had a similar situation, she entered us illegally. If you are a citizen you should apply for her, hire a good attorney that will probably advise her to tell at the interview she never saw an immigration officer or that she was asleep crossing the border. I have not heard that there is any "way" for immigrants that are here over 10 years. Good luck.

Isn't just like an immigration attorney to suggest some hor$e$hit story like "I was asleep when I crossed the border" trying to blame a border agent....what BS. I hope they defy this t w a t to produce her visa or admission card....and if she doesn't (because she never had one) they ship her a$$ back to her country and bar her for years....
