While looking at fisrt page of M-477, part 1 has only 3 numbers.
part second had four numbers.
And on the back page of M-477 it says
If you answer Yes to any questions 1 through 15 in part 7

if you answer No to any questions 1 through 5 in part 8

Where is the numbers and where are these parts on this pages of USCIS.
Will some look at this and help us to do the right things

Unfortunately, the guide is outdated and does not match up with the N-400.

If you look at the N-400, you need to explain some answers.

Part 10. Questions 1-14

Please answer questions 1 through 14. If you answer ''Yes'' to any of these questions, include a written explanation with this form. Your written explanation should (1) explain why your answer was ''Yes,'' and (2) provide any additional information that helps to explain your answer.

Part 10. Questions 15-21.

For the purposes of this application, you must answer ''Yes'' to the following questions, if applicable, even if your records were sealed or otherwise cleared or if anyone, including a judge, law enforcement officer, or attorney, told you that you no longer have a record.

Part 10. Questions 22-33.

Answer questions 22 through 33. If you answer "Yes" to any of these questions, attach (1) your written explanation why your answer was ''Yes,'' and (2) any additional information or documentation that helps explain your answer.

Part 10. Questions 34-39.

Answer questions 34 through 39. If you answer ''No'' to any of these questions, attach (1) your written explanation why the answer was
''No'' and (2) any additional information or documentation that helps to explain your answer.

Thank you Sphyrapicus, I will look into this questions again.

On Feb.18, 2005 I called USCIS,had a talk with one Brain, he had never seen the form M-477, wich is on the web and a printed hard copy.

How about writing to the Director/Commissioner, of Congressman, Santors, and in the News Paper about the working of this Department.(DOJ)

Yes, Adam. There really is no point in calling the 1-800-misinformation line. They are clueless.

Yes, the squeaky wheel gets the oil. The only way things will change is if you complain to people like your senators and congressmen.

And, by the way, USCIS is part of the Department of Homeland Security (no longer part of DOJ).

Good luck.
