Just wanted to inform you all that I got my oath letter today for next week. Came after 1.5 yrs of waiting.

My timeline:

Oct 2005 sent papers
Nov 2005 Receipt notice
Nov 2005 Fingerprinting notice
Dec 2005 Fingerprint
Jan 2006 Interview
Mar 2007 Second FP
Sep 2007 Oath Letter

It's been a long journey but well worth it. Can anyone who has gone through the Oath give me an overview of what happens there? How long it lasts etc?

There is hope out there and I wish everyone best of luck in their processes. I will visit this board from time to time. Also thank you to everyone who have given words of encouragement and who help others like myself in their quest.

Road To Citizenship, I have a Question for you.
Did USCIS explain or justify to you why it took so long for the approval? Please share with us.
Once again God Bless!!!!!!

I did one infopass. One letter to my congressman and both were useless. So I contacted a lawyer and filed a WOM.

The reason was always background check pending. So after we filed a lawsuit, I waited 1 month and got my oath 3 days before the court date.

Hope that helps !!!
