I am presently living in the UK and awaiting to be contacted for eligibilty to apply for V1 visa after having our petition for green card approved. we applied in november 1999 and it has been almost 3 long yers of living apart from my wife(LPR) and son(USC).

my challenge is that my student visa has expired here in the UK and we are concerned that it may affect us doing my v1 interview here when it comes up. does staying here illegally in the UK have any impact on the success of the interview for a v1 american visa?

secondly anyone has a timeline from the date of receiving notification for v-visa eligibility to receiving a v-visa.

many thanks
