And another question, do they really make a decision on the date they state on the receipt?
Except the tradegies and accidents... :-)

Where can we get help now, it is time for him to apply for renewal of his EAC and we cant get any answers from anyone at INS. Please help!

Let's hope that 245(i) will be reinstated.

Like Bushmaster said, wait for 245(i). There is nothing else you can do.
On adjustment of status it says under "ineligible":
"You entered the U.S. while you were a nonimmigrant crewman"
You actually mean that I will get the Work permit immediately after filing I-765, ot it is after I wait to be interviewd with my USC husband?

Karen,
When you file your I485 and the work permit you will be allowed to work temporarily while they approve or deny your petition. Some places, you get your work permit the same day you apply, others you get it a few weeks later.

Thanks Marie & Bushmaster . . . . .
Do you know what is happening with the 245(i) legislation. Is there any hope something will be resolved soon?
Thanks Again. and let's hope that we hear something soon, I am afraid we are running out of time.

I believe 245(i) is in the political hands right now. I have no political opinions, ideas (those are for US citizen voters) but I heard that democrats are trying to reinstate the 245(i)...(at least in our state)
So maybe this coming election can clear the 245(i) situation...
